"Yuta, what is this?" Hayoung asked, holding the picture frame in her hands.
Yuta snatched the picture frame away. "Why were you going through my stuff?"
"I wouldn't exactly call it going through your stuff when you had it lying in the middle of your desk." Hayoung responded. "We're engaged, why is this even out?"
Yuta rolled his eyes. "Oh please Hayoung, like you're innocent. You don't even spend the night here sometimes."
"At least I don't have pictures of my ex-lover out in the house I share with my fiancé." Hayoung said, putting emphasis on the last word.
"Ex-lover." Yuta scoffed. Realization soon hit Hayoung.
"You still love her, don't you. That's why she came over?" Yuta was silent. Hayoung threw her hands up. "Sakura even stayed the night here, I don't even want to know what you two were doing in this room."
"If you hate it so much, then leave!" Yuta yelled, putting the picture down. Hayoung had her hands balled into fists.
"Fine, I will!" Hayoung yelled back, stomping into her room. She threw a few items of clothing into a duffel bag. I'll come back later for the rest. She zipped the bag up, making her way to the front door, passing by Yuta's closed door as she left.
Hayoung slammed the front door, not bothering to lock it.
"The nerve this man has." Hayoung muttered to herself as she made her way to her car. She sat in the driver's seat, thinking about where she should go.
"Doyoung would tell mother if I went to his place." Hayoung mumbled as she started the car. That only left one place for her to go.
...
"Hayoung?" Jungwoo was surprised by the girl standing at the door, a large duffel bag in her hands.
"Yeah, I hope you don't mind." Hayoung said as she greeted the barking puppy. Hayoung had only been gone for a couple hours but Obok was already missing her so the small animal was happy to see the girl again.
"No, you can stay here as long as you need to, it's just... small." Jungwoo said, inviting the girl in.
"Small is just another word for homey." Hayoung replied, placing the bag down before plopping on the couch. Obok immediately jumped into her lap.
"So what happened." Jungwoo asked, taking a seat beside her. Obok hopped off Hayoung's lap, chosing to sit between the two instead.
"Yuta is still in love with his ex-girlfriend or whatever." Hayoung told him. "You know, the fiancé."
"Oh..." Jungwoo didn't know what to say. "Are you upset?" Geez that question sounded a lot better in my head.
"I'm not sad, I didn't really like him anyways, he was a complete slob." Hayoung confessed. "I'm just upset that I have to marry a man that doesn't even like me." A part of Jungwoo felt relieved from her words but still felt bad for the girl.
"Can you break the marriage off?" Jungwoo asked, out of curiosity and as a suggestion.
"I mean, I guess I could but then the business agreement gets broken off as well and my parents won't be happy with that." Hayoung said, tugging the ends of her hair. Jungwoo reached out to touch her hands, pulling them down.
"Don't do that, you'll become bald." Jungwoo said, holding in the electrifying feeling the touch gave him. He watched as Hayoung smiled from his words before sighing.
"I wish I could be like you and marry whoever I want." Hayoung said, leaning back.
"I can't though." Jungwoo said, the words slipping out of his mouth before he could take them back.
"Huh, why not?" Hayoung asked, staring into his eyes. Jungwoo's breath hitched for a moment. He looked away so he could breathe properly again, calming his racing heart.
"The girl I like has someone else." Jungwoo softly said.
"Oh, who is it?" Hayoung asked him. Jungwoo played with his fingers, not sure if he should tell her.
"Is it Bomi?" Hayoung suggested, a hint of sadness in her voice. Jungwoo raised an eyebrow, quickly turning to face her.
"That's actually offensive, why would I like someone like her." Jungwoo said, making Hayoung giggle.
"Okay, so who is it?" Hayoung asked, leaning closer to him. Obok barked, putting a paw on Hayoung's leg to tap her, as if to tell her something.
"Obok, what do you want." Hayoung said, reaching out to pet the dog, but Obok jumped onto Jungwoo's lap. Jungwoo watched as Hayoung followed Obok's movements with her hands but quickly lost balance as Obok jumped onto the ground, making Hayoung fall on top of him, her hands on either side of him.
Instinctively, Jungwoo's arms wrapped around her waist to steady the girl, holding her tightly as her head fell onto his chest.
"Oh my gosh, I'm so clumsy." Hayoung said, beginning to pull away but Jungwoo held her tightly against his body, not wanting her to leave.
"Let's just stay here for a bit." Jungwoo said, guiding her head back down to his chest. Jungwoo was certain that Hayoung could hear how fast his heart was beating but he didn't care. He just wanted to hold her close.
Jungwoo gently ran his fingers across her back, a motion that he knew soothed her. Hayoung was quiet, and Jungwoo could feel her soft breath against his skin. Eventually, she broke the silence.
"Jungwoo, you still didn't tell me who the girl you like was." Hayoung said. Jungwoo took a deep breath, letting what little confidence he had take over him as he placed a hand underneath her chin, lifting her head up so that she was looking at him.
"It's you Hayoung. The girl I like is you."
