General POV

Jay manages to catch up with Hallie, just before she gets to the court. "Hey ya'll, this is Jay" Hallie announces, introducing Jay to the team. "Hey, we haven't seen you round here" Skills says, feeling sketchy about a new guy. "Hey, we knew each other when she lived in Chicago" Jay says, feeling really uncomfortable round Skills. "Ah, I knew she'd come back from Chicago. Did you have anything to do with her return?" Skills asks intimidatingly. "Nope, not exactly" Jay replies awkwardly. "Shall we just play ball? Jay you played before?" Hallie interupts, picking up on Jays uncomfortableness with Skills. "Yes I have" Jay replies, before catching the basketball that had been thrown at him with cat like reflexes. Jay passes the ball straight to Hallie to start running, since he still felt uncomfortable. "FERGIE!" Hallie yells, chucking the ball to him. Fergie dribbles the ball to Jay who then scores an eight-pointer off that bat. "YES JAY!" Hallie cheers excitedly, running upto him for a high five. "That wasnt fair, Jays a giant" Skills protests, not liking the fact the 'new guy' scored first. "That never bothered you when you played with Nathan and Lucas" Hallie teases, sticking her tongue out. "Alright, let's go" Jay chuckles, twisting Hallie round by the shoulders before she gets told off.

Jay follows Hallie round the town, since he has no idea where he is going. She leads him to the high school and stops walking as soon as they get there. "Your school?" Jay asks as he gains his balance, after almsot falling with the sudden halt. "Yep and mums. She was a cheerleader ya know- head cheerleader in fact- and school president" Hallie says, giving Jay quite the shock as its not somthing that was ever even hinted about. "Brooke?" Jay double checks and making sure he called her by her Tree Hill name. "Yup, her. Why are you so suprised?" Hallie asks, not getting why Jay gets so suprised about the little things. "She was never said anything about her school days or acted like she does in Tree Hill" Jay answers in as little detail as possible. "Oh, she can be an odd duck so" Hallie shrugs, staring at a memorial. "Whos that?" Jay asks, seeing Hallie stare at someone's memorial. "Keith Scott. He was close with my mum and her friends. Mum was almsot shot, it hit her best friend instead. She didnt die but when Keith went in to try and calm Jimmy down- he ended up shooting himself- Dan, his brother shot him" Hallie explains, almsot on the verg of tears herslef. Jay stands there not sure what to do or say, so he resorts to a comforting hand on the sholder. "You wanna go back? We've been out over an hour so your parents should be back" Jay offers, not wating her to go, but knows its in her best interest. "Sure" Hallie nodds, wiping away the escaped tear that trickled down her cheek.
