Erin/Brookes POV

That was uncomfortable to say the least. Atwater and awkwardness dont normally go together, but that couldn't have got any more awkward or uncomfortable. "Im sorry Jay, I didnt mean to interupt" I apologise. "No its fine, you didn't do anything. He actually came round to see if I managed to drag you back here- I think when he figured out you were Brook it kinda threw him off" Jay replies reasuringly. "Mom, why did he call you Erin?" Hallie asks from the baby pen. "Um, Hallie, we should probaly talk about that" I nervously say, looking to Jay for help- he doesn't say anything but gives me the 'you got this' wink. "Okay.." Hallie says, clearly nervous and obviously wondering what else is there to find out. "When I moved to Chicago at 16- just after finishing High school- I changed my name to Erin Linday. I wasnt the best kid and got into alot of trouble and messy situations. Hank, my foster dad- Jays boss- took me in and saved my life. He even told my mum where she can stick it" I explain, to which Hallie slightly giggled at the last part. "Okay, that's cool- the name changing part I mean. I'm glad you were happy for a while, I dont mind you doing that. If you expect me to be mad im not" Hallie replies, clearly okay with it all. "You sure" I double check, not wanting Hallie to feel like she can't ask me anything. "Yes mum" Hallie says in a slightly annoyed 'i just said so' tone, before throwing her arms around me. "Your amazing you now that right?" I smile, amazed by how strong and understanding Hallie is. "So are mum" Hallie smiles back. "You too Jay" Hallie adds, looking upwards to Jay, who was standing by the island looking at the scene play out infront of him. "Lets go ice skating" Jay randomly suggests. "Can we?! I've never been before" Hallie asks exitedly. "Ye, sounds great. I'll watch you and Jay stack it from the side" I chuckle, knowing there's only one way this is going to end. "Yes!, can we go now?" Hallie eagerly asks. "Yip" Jay replies, throwing mine and Hallies boots to us.
