blue violetsAt exactly 2:30PM, five people exited a fast food restaurant in front of the main entrance of Beaumont Arts University. They laughed along at their burgundy haired friend's joke, walking on the sidewalk by two's. Gwyneth peered to her left side, her own russet brown eyes staring discreetly at Adelyn's face; her sapphire blue eyes slightly closed and her tall nose scrunched as she laughs adorably at London's story.
Blake saw Gwyneth staring at Adelyn from his peripheral vision and he chuckles quietly at his friend's attitude. His boyfriend, Quinn, a guy measuring 5 foot and 9 inches with hazel green eyes, averted Blake's attention to him, asking why he chuckled.
"Look at Gwyneth," he whispered to his boyfriend's ear. Quinn looked at Gwyneth slyly to see her still looking at Adelyn with an adored look.
"Why can't she just ask her out?" Quinn wondered, whispering to his boyfriend's ear and his boyfriend only answered with a shake of his head. Blake thought about how easy Quinn made it sound when their journey itself wasn't a walk in the park.
The five friends stopped walking when they entered the gates of their university, planning to disperse in their own ways as they all have separate schedules. "Well, I'm off to my 3PM class. Text me when something entertaining happened!" London waved goodbye to her four friends, leaving for her fourth class.
"Blake and I will go to our apartment, wanna join?" Quinn asked the two girls. Gwyneth and Adelyn shared the same thought; dear heavens, no.
"No thanks. We know what you two do behind closed doors." Gwyneth expressed her feigned disgust with her face. Adelyn laughed, agreeing with her.
"You're overreacting," Blake deadpanned.
"Well, we're off then. See you around." Quinn and Blake waved goodbye to the two girls, walking away hand in hand.
Gwyneth sighed at the two, happy for their relationship now that they can express their love for each other publicly. Adelyn started to walk forward, knowing that her friend will follow her since that she didn't bid her farewell.
"When's your next class?" Gwyneth asked even though she knows her schedule by heart.
"Around 4. Yours?"
"Same as yours. Wanna go to bean there?" Adelyn nodded, enthusiasm visible on her face at the mention of their favorite coffee shop. Gwyneth glowed at the idea of spending time alone with her, her own eyes staring at Adelyn's hands which found their way through her arms, pulling her to the direction of the coffee shop.

bean there is a quaint cafe, with only one loveseat and four tables and chairs. Pictures of coffee and sceneries are scattered strategically on the beige walls, plants hang from the ceiling with dim yellow lights surrounding every corner of the place. The smell of the freshly made espresso and pastries are the finishing touch of what the two girls consider 'home'.
Aaliyah, the owner of the cafe, would always welcome them with her ebony eyes and the warmest smile that anyone has ever seen. The 27 year old owner would always offer her two favorite customers with her new recipe; may it be a pastry or a drink, and Gwyneth and Adelyn would accept it wholeheartedly.
"Hey Aaliyah." Adelyn greeted as she entered the cafe, with Gwyneth holding the door open for her. Gwyneth followed her greetings when she entered the small cafe after Adelyn.
"Hi you two!" The girl with the chocolate skin greeted back, hugging her favorite customers for a while. Her smell of coffee and daisies waft through their noses, smelling the familiar scent of one home.
"Take a seat, take a seat! I made a dessert just for you two. You like grapes right?" Aaliyah asked as the two girls sat down on the loveseat.
"It's her favorite," Adelyn answered, referring to Gwyneth. Gwyneth's heart fluttered at the thought of the blue eyed girl knowing what she liked and disliked.
Maybe she liked her even a little more.
"The usual, right?" The two nodded at the owner's question, making themselves feel at home on the seat.
After a while, an iced americano, a mocha frappe, and a slice of grape tart are all placed on the table in front of the two girls who are chatting about music. Their conversation paused when Aaliyah put their order in front of them, thanking her. A warm smile soon followed from Aaliyah when an affectionate look appeared on Gwyneth's face as Adelyn sipped her frappe.
Aaliyah knew of Gwyneth's liking towards Adelyn romantically. For Aaliyah, Gwyneth's feelings seemed so transparent, easy for everyone to read as Gwyneth's face and body language would always express her emotions clearly, but not for Adelyn. Aaliyah thought that Adelyn was very oblivious towards Gwyneth's feelings, even now when Gwyneth's eyes sparkled with joy as Adelyn talks about her favorite KPOP band.
Aaliyah shook her head, somewhat pitiful for Gwyneth. But when Aaliyah's eyes showed something that her actions didn't when Gwyneth replied with her favorite song of Adelyn's favorite group, she thought otherwise.
