I view it this way,
It's like a hurricane, there is the eye and then the rest of it. The further you move away from the eye the more disaster you will see.
The truth is like the eye, it's calm but not the easy way out, loss maybe there but it is very minimal.
Lying on the other hand is like the rest of the hurricane, you see if you choose to lie you move away from the eye.
The further you go the more loss you will face, but we don't see that until the hurricane is over, we don't see the consequences of lying until we get caught in our lies.
Being honest is not easy, but it's better because lying creates a ripple effect.
Once you lie you keep on lying to protect yourself. Whatever happiness you get from this is borrowed and trust me borrowed happiness never lasts.
