Have you noticed that irregardless of the saying being repeated over and over again we still fall prey to doing it.
The first impressions are considered to be the most important, they say you have to look the part and carry yourself properly. You can either get the job of your dreams or lose it in just the first meeting.
Presentation is important just like the cover of the book, if it appeals to you, you purchase it, if the title catches your eye you may spend that budgeted money on it and if it had the best review there is no doubt you want it to be part of your collection.
We judge books by the cover daily , sometimes we don't even notice it but we do.
Most times we end up regretting buying that book because you realized it wasn't what e expected.
Just like in many book shops life doesn't give a refund, you get the option to read that book even though it's not what you wanted or you simply ditch it and pass it along.
Judging a book by the cover is an inevitable action that carries heavy consequences.
If the cover wasn't important then they wouldn't put much effort in designing it, with time it may get torn but it doesn't take away the effort that was put in it.
But even though its common we should try by all means to not do it, stop focusing on what they seem like and focus on what they can achieve.
