Chapter 8~Flashback

Okk this will be kinda short, i'm in writers block and i'm forcing myself to write rn, enjoyyyy!!!!

Little did i know that today would be the last time i saw my sister and mom.

I woke up to the sound of my little sister getting ready to boost onto my stomach, she barely even made it onto my bed before landing right in my gut, though i barely felt anything, considering how small and short she is. The air was filled with the smell of warm-fresh pancakes, "Onēsan wake uppp moma made breakfast for us!!" she pleaded, desperately waiting for me to hurry up, "ah, alright i'll be right down, natsu!" I sighed, stepping out of the bed-one foot after the other. The wooden floor creaked as i made full impact. I hastily made my way to my closest, bending down, and grabbing my uniform. I quickly got dressed, anxious to eat my moms food before it got cold. I rushed down the stairs;running towards the oak-kitchen table, "woah slow down! the foods not gonna run away!! i excitedly sat down and began eating my moms delicious breakfast she made for my sister and i. We chomped it up in barely 5minutes. I went to hug my mom and thanked her for the amazing breakfast.

We had a remaining hour before having to head off to school. Natsu had asked me to play dolls with her and i of course said yes, mom also played with us like she usually does. Soon enough it was time to go head to school, natsu isn't in school yet but she usually comes on the drive to school with my mom and i. Natsu ran out the door to head to the car, mom grabbed her keys and i grabbed my lunch kit and my backpack. I lifted Natsu up and buckled her tight into her booster seat. I then opened the passenger door next to my mom, then buckled my seat belt. She backed out of the drive way cautiously, then started to go on the route to school, it was nice and peaceful, all of us singing along to the music on the radio, me and Natsu making jokes and laughing tons. Just like a nice loving family.

  Out of nowhere a drunk driver drove blindingly, mom had a late reaction, and swerved too late, causing the drunk driver to hit the back end of the car, on the side Natsu was on.

It all happened too fast.

Once the car made impact i had a terrible whiplash. Glass was flying all over, i could hear my mom and sister crying and yelling. My ankles smashed right against each other causing sharp pain to strike through my body, glass shards were scraping against my bloody body. My sisters screaming suddenly stopped. I yelled out her name, that's all that i remembered before blacking out.

My head was aching, thoughts of my sister and mother kept racing through my mind. I jumped up. I look around to see an IV inside my arm, bandages wrapped around my body, and casts on my broken ankles. (usually when you get into a car crash your ankles collide into together causing damage to them, it happened to my grandpa and uncle, so yeah) I yell hello hoping my mom and sister were okay, then we would all hug. But no.

A doctor came in, he had a sad sympathetic look plastered on his face.

He took a deep breath, and guiltily breathed out,

"hey, i'm sorry, but your sister didn't make it. She had the most impact from the crash, but luckily your mom is ok, the driver who hit you survived and had no damage caused to him."
