Hinata raced into the gym, running as fast as she could on the squeaky gym floor to her dressing room, not wanting to waste any practice time. The ginger forcefully slammed the door-locking it afterwards.
She slipped off her school uniform, continuing, she changed into a back nike sports bra, adding a loose white workout shirt over top. Shoyo then pulled up a pair of black under-armour (it's a brand for those of you who didn't know) shorts. Before tying up her shoes Hinata put on both of her black knee pads on each knee. Lastly, finishing off changing Shoyo slipped on her white and red court shoes, tying them up.
The small girl bursted out of the room, running over to the court. The ginger started stretching-not wanting to tear any muscle during the practice.
"heyy chibi-chan!"
Kuroo came jogging out of the boys dressing room, waving towards hinata.
"Oh hey kuroo!"
The girl gave a light smile, waving back at the black haired male.
"hey sho"
"kenma!!!"
The girl bursted up hugging kenma in a quick tight hug.
"Hey hinata! almost didn't see you there, you're so short"
"wha! no fair lev! i can't control my height!!"
Shoyo slumped over,
"hey hinata, you're actually shorter than me! hey at least i'm not the shortest anymore!"
Yaku mockingly said, giving off a smirk.
"well whatever, let's just start practice!"
Hinata brushed off what happened and ran over to the bin full of volleyballs.
"Hey before you all grab volleyballs the coaches have some news!!"
Kuroo yelled throughout the gym, everyone gathered in a circle around the coaches,
"so there's a training camp in roughly 2 weeks, i'm sure you all have heard about it, but we need to send out 1 more permission slip."
(remember that training camp that hinata found out about in like chapter 1, yea that)
"hey can i ask something?"
Shoyo raised her hand slightly, looking at the coach,
"hm?"
"can i ask what schools are going?"
The ginger questioned,
"oh yeah, what schools are going, you haven't told us yet?"
Kenma said afterwards,
"Karasuno High, and Fukurōdani Academy, now get back to practice, work on spiking, receives and serves."
Everyone all shouted 'hai' in response, all heading back on the court, each person grabbing a volleyball.
"okay everyone just work on serves for starters! 1 at a time first, we'll give tips afterwards then it's a free for all"
kuroo demanded, everyone got into a line-well-except yaku, considering he's a libero, so he's just on the other side of the court in a ready position, getting ready to receive the balls.
First off was lev, (i don't know if he can do a float serve or not, same with every other character, but i think kuroo can do one?? i may be wrong but for now let's just think that they all can just overhand it over and kuroo being able to do a float serve, and tbh i know nothing about all their serves so i'm gonna make shit up, dw i'll re-watch a nekoma game and make future chapters not made up shit :) ) The tall silvered hair male threw the ball up flying in the air, smacking it with his palm, barely making it over the net, yaku on the other hand saved it, diving down, making it fly back up into the air.
"woah yaku!! you've gotten way better!!"
The girl exclaimed is amazement,
"woah thanks!"
Hinata gave a bright smile back,
"try to aim it up a bit more, your aiming the ball too low"
Kuroo corrected Lev, next up in line was kai, he succeeded in the serve, yaku was barely able to receive it back up. Following was kenma-the gingered cheered the boy on while he was tossing it up in the air-he slapped it over the net, yaku receiving, teammates gave a few tips to kenma afterwards, Continuing it was kuroos time to serve, the threw the ball up highly in the air, running up, and hitting it over, but yaku digging up the ball, stopping all momentum, and straight towards the setters position.
Soon enough it was hinatas time to shine, she tightly gripped onto the ball, taking in a deep breath before tossing it up high in the air-which to everyone was unexpected-Shoyo ran to get in line with the ball, she stopped, jumped, and hit it over. It was almost impossible to tell where it would go, yaku didn't have time to process and failed at receiving,
The whole gym was completely silent, even that slightest breath could be heard. Everyone was all shocked from the small girls serve.
