My Beta Girl

Chapter 5.

Robin sat there with my  mate's mother and some ladies, joking, telling them some of my embarrassing stories laughing his ass off................. Stupid charismatic Alpha.......... 

We were in Kyle's house right now, as I stood in a corner looking at the some of the women who flocked around Robin. I glared at him from the corner of my eye. Yeah! I get my best friend is inhumanly beautiful with alpha-pheromones  radiating off his skin............ 

'I wonder what Jesse would think' I spoke out loudly through the link, receiving a glare from Robin.   

After the incident, I had apologized to Kyle's sister she was a bit shaken but laughed it off. She was kind, I had glared at Jesse when she first eye-fucked Robin......... well, I admit we were only fifteen back then, unmated with no claims or bonds. But still I was expecting a bit more hostile behavior from Rena. 

"Are you not going to join them Beta Selena?" giggled the brown haired beauty, my mate's sister.

I shook my head frowning, "He's laughing on my expenses"

Her eyes widened "You were the 'buddy' who threw Alpha Dave in the pond?"

I gave her a sheepy smile and nod, "Dave was being a jerk" I replied not even bothered to use Alpha. We were seven at that time and his father brought him together for a meeting, I smiled at the memory. Mom scolded me for hours while both the former Alphas and our Luna was more amused by the situation........ 

I glanced at Rena's pale expressions and quickly added, "Well, I promise I'm usually not that violent person, I'm sorry for earlier again!" I blunted out. I was expecting her to snap out or accuse me, it was her right after all.............. I terrified her to submission, if she said something rude I won't hold it against her despite of our positions. 

But she just laughed again, "I never thought  of seeing a beta apologizing so humbly to me. Beta Selena, I am a birth omega, we can't help but submit to higher powers, we hold no resistance. I don't hold any grudges against you. When my mate saw me for the first time, he almost snapped my friend's neck for keeping an arm around my waist." she smiled recalling the memory,"He's the warrior who held me earlier. I know you must have a great control over your wolf to resist....."she trailed off. 

But she didn't needed to complete, everyone knew bloodshed is not impossible when a wolf looses control over his or her mate before mating. I sighed at her words, at-least my mate's family doesn't completely hate me. 

"But I was hoping Kyle might have an omega mate........" she whispered. Ouch! That hurt, I see....... my pack will not be the only one disappointed. 

'They don't approve. Mate's family. You. Don't' my wolf sadly whimpered.

I rolled my eyes, 'For my brain cell's sake Clara, stop being lazy and talk in full sentences!'

'Mate's family doesn't approve of you. Mate will leave, mark mate'

'Can you think logically for a moment without including romance, marking or mating?' I asked my wolf annoyed. 

"I didn't mean to offend or insult you Beta Selena!" Rena quickly added looking up at me, there was a flicker of fear behind those brown orbs.

"It's fine Rena and please call me Selena. Titles is not required in an informal setting"

She softly smiled at me voicing her concern,"It's just that..... omega mates are more observant and caring..........Kyle, he tends to hide his emotions, take in too much without realizing when he would break. I has happened before.............."the conflicted look in her eyes told that she was unwilling to continue, "Anyways why don't you go check out Kyle's room! I'm sure you won't get a chance anytime soon after he has shifted"
