Kyle's Pov
It was midnight as I laid on my bed, eyes wide open. I couldn't sleep. I could only seen my mate during the breakfast, car ride and lunch. My heart stammered each time she looked at me, her cold expressions turned into a small smile. Her dark brown locks, shimmering red in sunlight, amber eyes were usually blank but clear....... they didn't waver with emotions, like a stunning artwork.
I admit it was scary at times to look in those blank orbs as they remained aloof to the world.
It's been five days since I transferred to Bloodmoon pack, while everything is fine, I hardly ever get to see my mate. During school, we have different schedules and most of the classes don't match, at lunch Jason invited us to sit with them but I couldn't abandoned my best friend Paul so I reluctantly declined. After school she immediately goes to the training ground with Gamma Erwin, and by the time she returns it's already midnight.
Since I wasn't a pack member yet I wasn't permitted to roam freely on the pack grounds freely without an escort.
I had spent most of my time with Luna Jessica......... Jesse was a nice person, not good with academics and a bit airheaded but I really appreciated her company. She told me she had been with Alpha Robin since they were seventeen before confirming they were mates. Her father is the Delta of Ace pack and herself the youngest sibling, she also knew about Paul. They interacted during school a few times.
Most of the time she was by Alpha Robin's side during school.......... Alpha Robin.......... he sometimes likes to glare at me and it's petrifying , I'm not sure if I did something wrong or disrespectful.....? When I asked Gamma Erwin about the matter, he just started laughing and patted my back, saying something about..."Cherry- popping?"
The amount of glares from my peers have increased.......... one of the main reasons, Jason. He has been following me for a while. During which, I got scoldings and warnings from three teachers, a detention and being kicked out from the library twice.........huh.....
He also told me that at the end of this week there is going to be a meeting for my acceptance or denial. Unlike most packs they don't accept members blindly just because they are a person's mate. Elders and council of the pack holds great importance, since they had been the one coordinating the pack matters for many years after the former Alpha's death.
A formal meeting is held for the acceptance or denial of any new members and usually their position in the pack is not fixed either, it may be changed on a person's ability.
I'm not sure what to think of it, on the one hand this is a completely new concept for me and I'm curious to see how they handle matters here. But a bigger part of me is nervous, terrified of what they'll do, of what they could do....
If I'm not accepted they may ask Selena to reject the bond or give up her position. And I know Selena has done much to gain her position, she cherishes it above anything else. I could never dream of her give up the post just for the sake of mating bond. She wouldn't, I wouldn't want her to............ maybe I'm just a burden to her.................
I shook my head closing my eyes tightly, a single tear ran down my face.
Calvin whimpered, 'Mate'
'Mate is near'
We had not interacted with her for days, my wolf was getting desperate...... It hurts to be away........ it's like there is an unknown barrier I cannot cross.
I sighed, wiping off the tear, I opened the door, walking downstairs.
'Go near Mate!' my wolf screamed in my head.
I shook my head, 'She must be tired, I'm not waking her up just so you can see her.' She must be tired after the long day of school followed by training, Erwin told she also had to look after some of the paperwork for pack, after all she was the Beta of the pack, she wouldn't have time for stupid conversations.
I was not sure if I could just knock her door anytime at night, what if she didn't like that.......... it's midnight already.
There was a soft smell coffee and raspberry ............
I took a deep breath, the scent completely captivated my senses as I opened the living room's door.
There she was........ sitting on a chair in the dark room, eyes fixed on the bright screen of her laptop. She looked completely absorbed in the content of the screen as her slender fingers swiftly moved on the keyboard.
Amber eyes reflecting the bright lit screen, dark hair rolling down her shoulder. She wore a thin tank top and short displaying her beautiful toned figure and lean muscles ......... My breath caught in my throat and I couldn't look away...........
She seemed...... mesmerizing.
"How long are you planning to stare?"
