My Beta Girl

Chapter 20.

Third person's Pov

NightShade pack. Alpha's study.

"Another messenger disappeared near the woods. He had the file with your official command Alpha" The warrior regretfully informed from behind the screen. 

A angry growl was heard from the other side, "You foolish scums! You can't even fulfill a simple task! If an outsider gets his hands on those documents you'll be the next to die! Call Beta and my daughter"

The warrior shivered in fear under the dominating evil voice of his Alpha and retreated, a minute later a beautiful innocent-looking  lady and a uptight strict man entered the room immediately going to the other side of the screen.

"You called me Dad?" the women questioned with a pair of bright eyes, glancing at the weak-looking man on wheel chair on the other side of the screen.

"En..." the handsome figure of man who seemed like in his early forties, grunted glaring at the two people infront of him. 

"Alpha?" the cold voice of the man questioned, just enough consideration to be respectful. 

"My seventh order was stolen, the messenger carrying the order disappeared without any trace! Where are the reports of human disappearances? You assigned a team to search didn't you?" he glared at the stiff face of his subordinate Beta. 

"Yes Alpha, we've looked into the matter and according to the report two out of those six were seen near the boundary of eastern forest" the Beta said, secretly eyeing the lady beside him in disdain while the seemingly innocent pair of eyes blinked at him as the beautiful women smiled. 

"What are you implying Bet Hetrick?" the older man narrowed his eyes behind the thick pair of glasses. 

 Eastern forest land was solely under the control of his daughter after the grand old lady of the house passed away. He trusted his 'precious' daughter more than anything, after all who wouldn't trust a meek shadow of girl who never dared to disobey him. The reason he left her alive was because she was the perfect pawn piece in the palm of his hand.

While the silent resistance of the Beta didn't last long, the lady in question threw a confused glanced at the Hetrick, blinking her eyes as if she wasn't aware of the situation.

The cold Beta clenched his fist but remained expressionless not lingering on the topic of his suspicions for too long. Trying to convince his Alpha was futile. "If we could get the reports of previous female disappearance-- "   

"Enough!" face of the man on wheelchair turned red in anger, his glare intensified. 

After a deep breath the older man calmed himself  "What about the life of that bastard child? Now there are more than five with the information of seal. Specially that arrogant Beta daughter" he turned his attention to the women, the evil glint in his eyes had reached the limit of cruelty and madness. He had been trying to eliminate them for decades, yet that bastard half-sister of his ran off and gave birth to another child with Beta of Bloodmoon. Now her daughter had the other seal, blood of his own mother and information regarding his experiments.

The radiant beauty gave a calm smile, "One of our spies have successfully entered Bloodmoon pack. It was Claud, the second son of Delta Wen!"

The anger in Alpha's eyes diminished a little. Claud was like his own son, he had watched him growing up and regarded him as one of his important guards . A glint passed through the women's eyes looking at the pride in the depth of her father's eyes.

He nodded asking about few of the other matters, "I'll be in my lab, report immediately if there is an progress" at last he informed them about two new tasks and told them to leave.
