I am Diana Esther. My father was really famous in Victoria for his history works. He is also a well- known Engineer. He is the heir of the Esther property. I am the eldest daughter, and yes, I am the next heiress to the Esther property.
I am not that mad of history (unlike my father), but I can't tell that I hate it either. I like Science, Mathematics and spend most of the time reading and studying, locked inside my room.
Well, my life really turned upside-down, when my father's friend, Watson O D'eol, who is the head of the secret agency, called W.O.O.S (World Organization Of Spies). My father once mentioned about it to me and told to keep it as a secret between just both of us. Okay and now, I will start from the beginning.....
I've been sitting in my room, reading Da Vinci Code, by Dan brown. I was so absorbed in the book that I didn't hear my father calling me. But then someone knocked on my door.
The door wasn't locked, so I told to that someone to come inside. It was my personal maid, Lauryna Anna. I always call her Laury, while others call her usual name, Lauryna. She is just like my playmate, because I have NO friends. Well, technically, I only had enemies throughout my school life.
I still remember, when I went to St. Michael University School, Chloe and Larris, they always used to bully me, call me bad names, and even they stole my Identity Card, which was lost to me, for 2 weeks, wouldn't have got it back, if my father hadn't personally put his head into this. The worst thing is that the bar code present on the Identity card is our attendance. So, technically, I was absent for 2 weeks, where I technically wasn't.
For my High School studies, I first went to Esquimalt High School, where coincidentally or not, both, Chloe and Larris were also in that school, then I begged my father to change me to Victoria High School, so, technically, I am going to Victoria High now. Now, back to story.
"Yes, Laury?" "Your father is calling you." She said. "Uh... Okay, I'll be going then." I said. "And Laury, come with me."She looked taken aback for a moment, and then pulled her face, straight to normal.
I got out of my room, and climbed the long stairs down. "Yes, Father. You called me?" I asked politely, seeing there is another black haired guy, sitting next to him. "Yes," He turned to the other guy and said, "She is my daughter, Diana, and Diana, meet my friend Watson, Watson O'deol and his son, Jason O'deol." I smiled politely at them. And then, my father turned to me, "and Diana? It seems like they came with a proposal. A proposal for you"
For me, seriously. "Father, I don't actually get you." My father smiled as he had expected this. Of course, he would have. I can't know what is in his mind. "As, I said earlier, it's a proposal. A proposal for you to work with them" What, like seriously, why would I want to work, at seriously an age of 17, WOW.
"Dad, when you said work, you technically meant work? Like technically, WORK???" I was confused and my father could see it, and the other two men sitting on the couch too.
"Yes dear, Work." He said.
"But why do I need to work with them?"
"Because you should."
Silly answer dad.
"I meant, I need to know the reason" "As your father said, you SHOULD" I heard a male voice, behind me. Suddenly, a boy, well, not technically a boy, a teenage boy maybe, stood up from his seat. Jason, Jason O'deol, Uncle Watson's son.
"That boy is handsome, you should know" Laury said, from behind me. "And you are married, YOU should know"
"I am Jason O'deol. You will be working with me, from now on" he said, and stretched his hand to me for a hand shake.
"And I am Diana Esther. I will be working with you, from now on" I said and accepted his handshake. He shook it firmly, so did I.
"Looking forward to work with you" I said. "The pleasure is all mine" he said and smiled.
"Is there a guest without me knowing?" My sister descended the stairs. "You are......" Jason asked. Obviously, he doesn't know. He was only I informed about the two of us. "She is my sister" I said, before my sister blurts out some nonsense. "Name?" "Dina Liza Esther" she said in her drama queen voice, before I could.
"Wow that is kind of a bit not-so-short name, right?" Jason asked. "But you both don't look alike." Jason said, to make matters worse. I just hope, my sister won't blurt out, something stupid.
"Ah.... when is my daughter moving to Winnipeg?" Dad asked, to avoid the following.
i. Jason asking questions.
ii. My sister answering them.
"Winnipeg?" She sounded like screeching, gosh. "Like seriously, why is she going to Winnipeg?" My sister asked.
"It is for her new job, Dina." Father said. "Job, but Diana didn't finish her high school. So, it will be considered as child labor." "Well now you know a thing or two about child labor please write an essay for me. 2 page one. Your teacher talked about it to me. And the last day is coming Monday, hope you would have prepared by then. Oh, of course you will, now itself you know a bit about it. An essay wouldn't be a problem for you, will it?" I asked and smirked, returning the answer she deserved to hear. She then stormed off to stairs, with big heavy footsteps, ascending the stairs.
"Wow, your sister is bit of a hot-head."
"She is always one, so don't worry, I am used to it." I said and smiled. "At least your daughter smiled this once. Thank Jesus." Jason said, reminding me to take my smile off.
"Actually, I need to talk some job related matters upstairs, if you wouldn't mind, in your room, I may say." Jason said, sounding all serious type again. "Sure." I said and started ascending the stairs, leading the way. "Tea or Coffee?" Laury asked her usual question. "You are really young and pretty. Have a boyfriend yet?"
"Actually, she is married." I said. "What?" Jason was shocked. "Yeah, so you must have been married off at a really age, right?" Jason asked. "Don't you think it is her personals?" I asked. "Is it?" he asked. "Of course it is." I said and started to half-drag him up the stairs. Laury asked again "Tea or Coffee?" "I guess I will settle for Coffee then." Jason said. "What about you, Miss Esther" "Guess I will go for Coffee too." I said. "It will be ready, as soon as possible." She said and smiled.
