Izuku was bored, oh so very bored. He had spent days upon days testing his new quirk out on smaller household items and he was getting antsy. With every All Might figurine he rearranged, every poster he blew up, and every odd creation he created from previously broken things, his patience wore thinner and thinner. Ten months was a lot of time to prepare for anything and Izuku wished that wasn't the case anymore.

He had tested every idea available option in his house. He had even gone as far as blowing up his arm multiple times to see if he was able to fix it and tested if he could build things into his body to act as weapons (it was painful, and not his favorite thing, but push come to shove it was helpful). Now, he needed something bigger.

Izuku slipped out of his house at three am and headed towards the shady and more abandoned side of town in hopes of finding something he could test. His feet carried him to a junkyard, otherwise known as Dagobah beach. Oh. This is perfect.

Izuku started his training by running the length of the entirety of Dagoba beach to get an idea of how big it was. It was about 5 miles long, so Izuku marked the 2.5-mile mark and decided he would clean one half without his quirk and the other half with it. His first mission was to see how much damage he could fix. The answer to that question was he could fix anything if the parts were all there.

He had spent hours fixing things on the beach. He repaired trucks, fridges, toasters, microwaves, dollhouses. You name it, he fixed it. Not everything was fully repaired seeing as this was a dump so obviously pieces were missing, but he fixed everything enough that it was near functional. The truck had actually come in handy, there were only a few pieces that were missing or beyond repair, so he was able to find new parts from other vehicles left on the beach. He used that truck to haul garbage from Dagobah beach (No he does not have a license. but that's just how the cookie crumbles).

"Dude! Watch where you're fucking breaking shit! You nearly took out my whole hut! I like it here thank you very fucking much,". Izuku was trying to move around a washer and a burst of blue flame erupted from inside. How had he not noticed a whole person squatting on the beach? He'd been coming here for a solid week and he'd just not noticed.

"Shoot, sorry my bad. I'm just trying to clean up the beach. Did I hurt you? Are you alright?" Izuku panicked checking over the man? Teen? He was much taller than Izuku. He had bright blue eyes, red hair, and was covered in scars. The book definition of a Todoroki, but Izuku probably isn't supposed to know that, whoops.

"Yeah, I'm fine. What are you doing out this late at night, in a junkyard no less? Shouldn't you be sleeping so you're ready for pre-school tomorrow, or something?" Mystery-Todoroki man asked lazily.

"I mean, shouldn't you be sleeping in a bed and not rolling around in the sand like a three-year-old?" Izuku smiled ever so sweetly.

"touché, but seriously why are you here?"

"Training my quirk. I just got this bad boy a month or so ago. Now I have to be a hero like I've always wanted. What are you doing here, Sandman?" Izuku said way too cheerily.

"Ran away. Dad's a total dick. The sand is very cozy. Aren't you like 12 or something? How'd you just get a quirk?" Todoroki man was asking one too many questions for a kid sleeping in a trash heap.

"I was quirkless my whole life. Went through the discrimination and all that. Then I met All Might and I got a bit... emotional with something he said and my quirk force activated. It's pretty neat actually. It's called Overhaul. I can fix, rearrange, and disassemble things. Pretty versatile actually," Izuku hummed while disassembling another load of trash.

"What emotion could the number one hero possibly evoke from a 12-year old that would cause their quirk to activate?" Nosy-Todoroki the First hummed.

"I don't know. What emotion could the Number Two hero possibly evoke from a child that would cause them to sleep in a junkyard?" Izuku questioned as if it was the most innocent question ever.

"I don't know what you're talking about." Runaway boy tensed up. He really wasn't ready to be found out yet. He wasn't going back to his father unless he was getting his siblings.

"You know, My mom says lying's a dirty habit. But you can relax, I'm not gonna send you back," The other teen visibly relaxed, "You're burnt really bad, and by the way Endeavor acts it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to assume he's the reason why. What kind of future hero would I be to send you back with that kind of person? Plus, I get it, not all heroes are great. There's a lot of 'fakes' around." Izuku hummed.

It was true. Izuku knew it was true, no matter how much he wanted to believe in hero society, who knew he couldn't. Heroes were there for the money and some cases weren't worth helping. Nobody had ever helped him. His main tormentor was expected to become a great hero.

"You know Stain?" The Todoroki boy asked, his hands shoved back in his pockets.

"Yeah, after my time with All Might I wanted to see if anybody else felt similar to how I do, and I stumbled upon his philosophy. I don't entirely agree. I mean, harming people who are ultimately saving lives isn't the best option. I'm more of a 'do better to spite them' kind of guy,".

"Oh? Is that why you want to be a hero? Pretty scandalous for a 12-year-old, don't you think?" The runaway huffed a laugh. Izuku just smiled brightly in return, "Ooo. You're a sneaky little fucker. I get it."

"Sneaky isn't the word. More angry, but only on the inside. I think that's called passive-aggressive? Or conniving? Who knows." Izuku smirked and shrugged, "Anyway, pack your stuff. I'm not just gonna let you sleep on the street when I've got a mother who would happily let you stay and a spare room."

"What?"

"I said you're gonna come live with me. If you want to get a job or continue going to school we can get you a fake ID or something, but I'm not leaving you on the street, so you can fall down the villain rabbit hole or get murdered or something,".

"I'm pretty sure going to a stranger's house is exactly how you get murdered. We don't even know each other's names or ages!" Todoroki through his hands up. Who even is this kid? Who just finds a stranger, and decides that 'Hey! This guy is totally roommate material".

"Oh. Yeah, that's fair. It's nice to meet you, I'm Izuku Midoriya. I turn 15 in July. I go to Aldera middle school and plan to go to UA next semester. I recently got my quirk overhaul, and I like analyzing hero fights," Izuku smiled and offered Todoroki a hand shake.

Todoroki sighed and smiled slightly, "My name's Touya Todoroki, I recently turned 16. I was homeschooled and don't particularly know about highschool. My quirk is called cremation, and I enjoy long naps on the beach,". Touya shook Izuku's hand.

"Great! Now we're not strangers! Pack your things, Sandman! We've also gotta work on a fake name and what you want to do for school, but that's an issue for later. For now, we gotta get you fed and washed. I might even need to take you for a walk."

"Are you always rude in that peppy voice or is it just for me?"

"Only you babe!"
