Nerdy and the Beast- Chapter 8

CHAPTER 8- A change in attitude

"And who may this be?" The teachers stares from behind his glassses.

We eventually found our class. Logan had let me down before we had entered and as soon as he did I stormed inside.

But something weird was going on. as soon as Logan entered class he suddenly becomes distant and his attitude had somewhat become more colder. but why should I care?

"Jamie willows" he casually replies for me as he goes to sit down without waiting for me.

"Oh, so you're the Mr.Turners Luna? It's an honour to meet you" the teacher shakes my hand.

Everyone stares at me as If I were some alien while others (mostly girls) sneer at me.

"More like acquaintance" I mutter under my breath as I take a seat next to Logan who didn't even glance at me.

What the hell was wrong with him? Wow, now he's acting like we don't know each other at school? Ha that's fine with me turner! Let's keep it that way!

The lesson begins and it's a bore.

I finish the whole text book in about 50 minutes to everyone's surprise so the teacher tells me to do a more harder one in the last ten minutes.

I only manage to do about one fifth when the bell goes off. The teacher dismisses the class and everyone's soon outside.

I haul my bag over my shoulder and turn to leave when a strong muscular hand pulls me back by the shoulder.

"Do you even know where you're going?" Logan asks me. Clearly he was referring to what class I was going to next and luckily for me, we weren't in the same one.

"Yeah? Does it matter to you?" I shoot back as I shove off his hand, leaving him shocked.

"What's wrong with you?" He says as we walk outside.

I suddenly feel angry that he doesn't wrap his hands around my waist to stop me like he usually does.

Did he get bored of me already?

"Nothing, it's just your existence that annoys me. Anyway, why does it matter to you? You don't know me remember?!" I snap angrily.

Anger flashes across his face as he steps back.

"I'm sorry if you don't like my sudden change in attitude but just so you know, I'm the alpha. I cannot act like I usually do in front of others" he snaps back.

"Because it might hurt your reputations?" I growl.

"No! Because I have duties and expectations to fulfil! You have no idea how hard it is to keep the pack strong! Why can't you just keep your mouth shut and wait till we get home?" He starts shouting.

I'm taken aback immediately as I step back as well.

"You know what? It's fine! You don't need to feel that way cause I'm perfectly fine with you pretending that you don't know me at school AND at home! That's if you are pretending!" I nearly cry.

"What's the matter with you? Are you on your period or somthing? Why are you suddenly so angry?" He turns to look away making want to slap the living daylight out of him.

"No, there's nothing wrong with me. This is who I am. I only put on a fake show for you. I'm not your mate and we don't know each other understand? We're done!" I scream.

"It's not like we had anything to be done with" he mutters angrily.

I gasp in shock and turn to leave and he of course doesn't come after me to my disappointment.
