A car pulled up to the school, stopping for a bit too long. The door shot open as a boy stepped out, brushing his vest.
"Bye mom!" Will shouted to Joyce as he waved goodbye. He wanted to get out as fast as he could. He didn't want his mom to look over his outfit again.
"You remember my number, right?"
"Yes."
"Don't forget Jonathan is there too if you need something."
"I know, mom. Bye!" Will went to turn away from his mother.
"Wait! You forgot this!" Joyce held up a small piece of jewelry.
Will ran back to the car and grabbed the jewelry, stuffing it into his pocket.
"Thanks mom!"
"Have fun!" Joyce shouted before driving away.
"I'll try," Will mumbled to himself as he entered the school.
A lot of people were already there. Some on the bleachers, some on the dance floor, and some near tables.
Will decided to sit down at a table and wait for the rest of the party to arrive. Mike appeared minutes later.
