I'm sip on the tea Jake has made me and sit down on the sofa next to him. Things are still frosty between us since the argument one day ago even though we had cleared things up.

After he asked if I was ashamed to be his girlfriend I told him I wasn't and all the reasons why. Eventually we got into the car and drove home and I told him all about what happened at the interview from start to finish, I could see him clenching his shaking hands around the steering wheel. When we got hone Jake went straight to bed, and brought a few lids and drinks we with him.

"So, are you going to the kasabian gig with Tabby and Tilly?" Jake asks.

"Yeah, you could have come if you wanted to Jake." I tell him.

"No, I wouldn't want to spoil it for you..." He says looking down.

I sigh and shuffle up next to him, flinging my arms around him and leaning my head on his shoulder.

"Jake, you know you wouldn't spoil it, why are you being like this?"

"I don't know, I just feel quite, I don't know, distant from you."

"What? Jake what do you mean, Jake?" My heart sinks, is this the end?

"I don't know."

I look at him longing for some reaction but he just stares into a point at the carpet. I feel myself welling up, "Jake, please?"

He looks round at me and smiles and kisses my head, "it's going to be alright babe."

I feel relaxed and releved and close my eyes to soak it in. I squeeze him very tightly. "I fucking love you, I'm going to do anything u can to make you happy!" I cry.

"Aw Tommy, I love you too, I'm not going to give up on us, you know that don't you. These things are bound to happen", he looks into my eyes and wipes the tears away, come on, let's get you ready for this concert, hey?"
