I called my dad as Tilly, Tabby and I rode our horses along the steep hill covered in green grass, Roughtor. (Pronounced Row-ter)
We were home! Back in sunny Cornwall after a long festival season. We had played at Glastonbury, T in the park and Reading and Leads. There was rumors going round that we may even be playing on the main stage next year!
It was great to be back. To see my dad and the lush countryside surrounding us, the roaring sea and not forgetting my beautiful horse. Tilly and Tabby always rode and so did I. I used to gallop along the beach with my mum and brother. The girls were in the pony club and evented and showed but I didn't have enough money for that and it broke my heart when I had to move to Liverpool and leave my pony behind, but Tilly looked after him while I was away.
Any way I called up my dad to tell him I was home. When I tacked up the horses he was out. He nearly burst into tears when I told him, he misses me so much. I told him I had a surprise for him and hung up. The surprise was my Jake. And he was taking Tabby's dogs out for a walk.
We got home and put the horses back in the field to find Jake taking the leads off the dogs and letting them snoop around a bit. He walked over to me "I'm not used to this country business." He gasped. He looked out of breath.
I chuckled and said "well tomorrow we should get you on the horse!" He laughed and gestured putting a gun to his head. We walked back home and Tabby got the dogs back and thanked Jake. "We'll see you later guys" Tilly and tabby called out to me as they walked off.
"My Dad is at home. He doesn't know your here, I don't even thinks he knows we are going out!" I say.
"Ah well if he reads the tabloids he would. Its all out now Tom." He said, sounding disappointed.
"Well what did you expect Jake; we are both famous and you kissed me in the most public space imaginable!" I laughed, "I mean in the middle of a park, like come on, every one was asking for our autographs!"
"Well sorry, I just couldn't wait to kiss you somewhere less private". Jake said with a smile on his face as he picked me up and carried me home with my jodhpurs splattered in mud.
