I was walking home from the bus stop when I noticed a car was driving the same pace as my walking. I looked at the car. The driver rolled down the window.
"You need a ride?" The old man asks
"No. I'm almost home" I say as I continued walking.
"Your legs aren't tired?" He asks
"Nope" I say
He kept trying to convince me to get in his car. I had a plan to act like I was calling the police. I pulled out my phone and fake dialed the number.
"Hi, this man is following me" I say. Just then he sped off.
"Stupid bitch" I thought to myself

I made it home and walked in. My parents were sitting on the couch. My mom smiled at me while my dad gave me a confused expression.
"How was your day?" My mom asked
"It was good" I replied
"Who's hoodie is that?" My dad asks. I looked down. I forgot I was wearing it.
"Oh shoot. I forgot I was wearing it but, it's Jahseh's" I replied
"Why you wearin it?" He asked
"Because I was cold so he let me wear it" I say
"He don't need to do that" my dad says
"Stop.....he obviously cares about her so let him do what he does" my mom says
"Why you always gotta act like that?" She asks
I just walked in the kitchen and pulled out my homework.
"Because I don't want my baby talkin to no nigga" he says. I just rolled my eyes
(Pretend she told her parents about the man)
I then seen Jahseh wanted to FaceTime me. I accepted it
"Hey ma" he says
"Hey Seh" I reply
"He calls you 'ma'?" My mom asks in awe
"Yeah" I laughed
My dad just rolled his eyes and went in the garage. My mom followed behind him.
"Jahseh" I say
"Hm" he hums
"Guess what happened when I was walking home from the bus stop" I say
"What?" He ask. Then my dad came in the house followed by my mom. They were in the kitchen and I could tell my dad was listening to our conversation
"This man tried to give me a ride" I say
He shot up and gave me a concerned look.
"Are you serious?" He asks
"Yeah and he kept trying to make me go in his car but I pretended to call the police and then he sped off" I say
"Good" he says relieved
"Your okay now right?" He asks
"You can see how much he cares" I heard my mom whisper to my dad. That made my dad mad
"Oh did you want your hoodie back?" I asked
"Nah" he says
"You sure? If you want it I'll give it back" I say
"It's fine ma. You can keep it" he says
"Are you sure?" I asked
"Ma I'm positive" he laughs
"Okay" I say

We were in FaceTime for about 2 hours before hanging up.
We have a refrigerator in our garage and we had juices in there so I went downstairs and asked my mom to get me one because she and my dad were still in there.
"Can you hand me a juice please?" I asked. My mom went in the fridge and my dad started taking.
"I don't like what he calls you" he says
"Who? Jahseh?" I asked
"Yeah" he says
"You need to learn to let go of things...obviously she's getting older and we both know they have some kind of interest in each other" my mom says handing me a juice
"Thank you" I say closing the door. I drank the juice, did my nightly routine and fell asleep.
