Chapter 21: Mates

Its been two weeks since i lost it and tried to kill amia, and i found out that my siblings are evil. The hemmings still don't know and they won't know. If they knew they would try to take me and perrie away. Perries training is going good. She is able to control her powers completely now so we are just working on her fighting technique. The hemmings bought a house out here but its a couple miles away from our house. My family and i are going to the plaza today to check out the new shop that opened. That almost never happened, because taos is such a small place and no one ever opens shops here. When we got to the shops, which didn't take long because we ran, we saw the shop was 2 shops down from the family shop. The shop is called Mates. When we walked in we saw it was a cute little shop. It was like the trading post but it was more stuff for teenagers. (the trading post is a little shop in taos and it has like little kid toys, jewelry, ice cream etc).

"How may I help you guys?" We hear and turn around. My eyes meet with the most beautiful blue eyes.

"Hi sexy what's your name?" I ask bluntly.

"We'll my name is Luke Perry. What about you gorgeous?" He asked me back.

"My name is Lyric Hope Hemmings-Kunis." I say. As i was looking at his eyes i could tell they were contacts and that underneath they were red. Hes a Vampire! also that my family left me and i have a new power. I now have the power to see who someones mate is and this vampire is my mate!

"Well handsome why don't you take out the contacts you ask me to dinner and we get to know each other." I say bluntly. He looks at me with shock. He grabbed my hand and shocks went through my body. He dragged me to the back room.

"How do you know?" He asks me.

"how do i know what? that you're a vampire? and in that fact that you went through the change as well and that you are evil? or that were mates?" I ask.

"All," He says

"well darling i'm a vampire too.The most powerful vampire in the world. Im a copy cat. I copied your power made it stronger and saw we were mates. Also im going through the change and i'm leaning towards evil as well." i say like none if it mattered what so ever.

"than how come you have blue eyes that aren't contacts?" he asked me. I looked at him and changed my eyes to red.

"sweetie. I have many powers. One of them is i can change my appearance and i use that to hide the red eyes. im the most powerful vampire in the world. I can make any power i want. i can steal or duplicate any power i want. Like i told you before, but you see, well it would be easier if i show you." i say and place my hand on his check. i show him all my powers.

"so lyric hope you know i have the power to see on others mate and that we are mates?" he said stepping closer to me.

"well Lucas Perry i know we are mates. You know were mates. You have the power. I have that power as well." i say stepping a little closer. lets tease him for a bit.

"My name is Luke sexy. Lucas is my father and i hate my father." he says stepping closer. i'm lips meters away.

"well Luke now i know what to call you when im mad." i say turning around and walking back out to the shop. i hear him growl and a smirk takes over lip. next thing i know i'm against a wall.

"well music note you're a tease aren't you?" he says.

"music note. that's a cute new nickname. and yes. im a very big tease so don't make me mad." i warn.

"well music note do you live here in taos?"

"yes i do ... um... i don't know what to call you besides like and Lucas. i feel that if i have a nickname you need one. what do you like?"
