Chapter 2

Today was Mako's first day back at work. He couldn't wait to get back into action. But he didn't know he would be filling out paperwork.

Mako " Lin why am I filling out paperwork and not out in the field?"

Lin " Because nobody's out causing trouble or not yet. Mako if I hear anything I'll send you in."

Mako " Thanks Lin."

Lin " I have to go, Opal is at the train station she just came to visit."

'Wow bro is going to be happy she came back.' Mako thought.

After the fighting stopped she went back home with her family to patch things up and spend some quality time with them.

Later that day Korra walked through Republic City with Jinora and Kai.

Kai " This is worse then we thought."

Jinora " Look at all this damage I am just happy people didn't get hurt."

Kai " Yah Jinora check this out!" He called from around the corner. They left Korra alone.

Korra decided to visit Mako at work. She had nothing else to do today. She walked through the big brown doors into the police station. The ones she kicked open that day when Mako happened to break her heart but she was over that now. She saw Mako with a stack of papers on his desk within frantically.

Korra " Hey sweetie, are you writing out paper work? That doesn't seem like fun and you were so excited to get back to work."

Mako " Ya it's not fun but nobody's out causing trouble because of the damage outside and what's the point if most of the stores are broken down already."

Korra sighed " Well this isn't fun did you want to get out of work." She raises her eyebrow.

Mako " What do you have in mind?" He was curious but didn't want to get busted by Lin.

Korra " Just kidding I have no idea how to get you out of a boring day at work."

Mako "That's ok."

Korra " Well I have to go because this is boring... but I'll see you later." She kisses him then walks out of the building back to Air Temple Island. Rohan, Ikki, and Meelo were playing outside.

Rohan spotted her first. " KORRA!!!"

Korra " Hey guys..."

Ikki " So did you see Mako today?"

Just the thought of hearing his name made her blush. " Yes."

Rohan runs into her and gives her a big hug.

Korra " I missed you too even though I saw you this morning." He lets go.

Ikki " I heard Opal is in town!"

Korra " I guess Bolin is going to be happy until she has to leave again."

Ikki " Well I guess that's the deal with long distance relationships."

Korra " Yeah..."

Ikki " Your glad you don't have one that's good." It was getting late and Korra decided to wait for Mako by playing with the kids.

Rohan " AHHHH A MONKEY LEMUR!!!"

Meelo " I'll save you random CITIZEN!!"

Ikki " Look its the Avatar! Our savvier!"

Korra " I'll save you from the Monkey Lemur!!!" Mako had finished work and walked up the stairs to the Air Temple. He heard them yelling things like 'I'll save you... look it's our avatar.'
