Chapter 5

It was late in Republic city but pretty much everyone was asleep besides Mako. He has been thinking for a long time. He couldn't go to sleep until he thought this out perfectly. He needed this plan. Still awake in bed staring at the ceiling. Mako's thought - With Korra's parents coming into town this would be the perfect, or would it be...huh. I could ask them... for permission to ask her to marry me. I love her and this would be the perfect time to ask before they go back to the Southern Water Tribe.

The truth is he was a little scared to ask permission, but he had to do this he knew they were meant for each other. He could see them with kids of their own. A waterbender or a earthbender, maybe even a firebender baby. He could see himself teaching his child to firebend. With that thought in his head he fell asleep into a... dream.

The Dream World

Korra " Good morning honey."

Mako " Morning." he rubbed his eyes.

" MOMMY, DADDY!!!!!" A child came running down the hall being chased by something.

Korra " Oh no trouble." She looks at Mako. " Zue no airbending in the house!" Still in bed she couldn't get up for some reason. She pushed her self up but it was hard she kept falling back on the bed. Mako helped her sit up in the bed.

Mako " How's the baby?" She puts her hand on her stomach fine. She was 6 months in and you can tell the baby was pretty much there. The screaming child came running in.

" MOMMY DADDY!!!"

Mako " Juya (Jue ah)what's the matter?" The little girl climbed under the covers and crawled all the way to the front of the bed where Mako and Korra were.

Korra " What's wrong honey." She passes her hand through the little ones hair.

Juya " Mommy! Zue is scaring me. He is chasing me with a air tornado and trying to suck me in it."

Mako " Zue!" Zue sticks his head in by the doorway.

Zue " Yesss..." Mako motions him to come closer.

Korra " Listen to your father." She said in a stern voice.

Mako " Apologize to your little sister."

Zue sits on the bed and looks into his sisters bright blue eyes and says. " I'm sorry."

Juya " Its... ok."

Korra " Good you can go now." Zue runs out of the room.

Juya " Mommy can we practice today?"

Korra " Yeah of course."

Juya " Yay!!!" She runs out of the room.

Mako groans. Korra looks at him and sees the frustration. Korra was thinking of what to say. She put her hand on her stomach and the baby kicked.

Korra " Ah."

Mako " What?"

Korra " The baby kicked. I can't wait till the baby's born. Pregnancy is hard." Mako looks up.

Mako " We will get through it together." He takes her hand and holds it tight. He puts his other hand on her belly. The baby kicked again.

Korra " What do you think it's gonna be. Another waterbender or airbender?"

Mako " I felt it kick again. Nah this one is probably going to be an earthbender or a firebender. I can feel it's strength in its kicks."

Korra " It tickles sometimes and sometimes it hurts."
