Robert checked his watch once again, knowing he was going to be late on his way home. His cat, Roberto, would be very upset, with no chance of forgiving. He would be left hungry for a whole extra five minutes, and he got sassy after the five minute mark, unbearably so. For this fact alone he picked up his pace, hoping to leave his college parking lot as soon as possible. Doing so caused him to trip on the wet grass below his feet, making him fall to the ground, and his book bag was sent off to the side.
"Crap!" He shouted, pulling himself back up, and sitting himself on his butt. He'd always had horrible luck, never once could he have been considered by anyone he knew to ever have a shred of good luck. When his tush touched the ground, he met with a new level of pain, as something on the ground poked into his cheeks. "Yow!" He yelled, jumping up to his feet. He looked down to where his butt had previously been to see a small blue item. He bent down and picked it up. It was a plastic, crystal like see through bear. It had two black eyes, one of which seemed to be blotted, and arms which were tucked innocently behind its back.
"Well what are you doing here?" He asked it curiously. "You're prettier than I am." He was holding the bear in his right hand, which was also the arm with his watch. "Crap! I'm so going to be late." He looked off to the side, where his book bag had fallen, and noticed it had landed in a big puddle leftovers from the morning rain, and just about the only puddle left in the entire area. "Double crap." He muttered to himself.

When he got home he ran to his bedroom and threw his now dry book bag on the bed. He then started to prepare the cat food, that was until his phone rang with a reminder. He dropped the food and pulled out his phone. It read "English test Thursday."
His eyes shot open, he had completely forgotten, and didn't study even a lick of the material. In a feverish haste he opened his book bag and took out all of his notes for the most recent classes. He found then perfectly fine, unfortunately the had been ruined by the puddle and as such ran all the ink across the pages, making it unreadable. "No problem, I'll just read the book." He announced to himself, now making his way across the room and too his bookshelf, only to find that the book in question had been ripped apart, no doubt Roberto's sass at work.
Robert let out a sigh, and sat down in his chair, now realizing the futility of his test, and hoping there were no more surprises coming his way. His butt did get one more surprise as he had forgotten he had placed the small bear in his back pocket. With great relief he pulled it out of his back pocket, hoping that he wouldn't have to cause his butt anymore pain, and set it down on his desk. "Ugh what even are you?" He sighed once again and put his face in his hands. "I don't know what you are, but let's hope you're my new good luck charm."
He didn't even realize he had put it in his back pocket, nor did he care. But he did wonder if someone would be looking for it, maybe someone dropped it."
He heard a clack as Roberto jumped up on the desk and looked up to look at the cat himself. Roberto was actually a very loveable cat, and Robert was happy he had spent the money to get said cat, though he wasn't so happy with the name he had picked, it was funny at the time. Roberto came over to Roberts face, and looked right into his eyes. "What are you doing buddy?" Robert asked. It was too late, Roberto clawed into the left side of Roberts face. Robert had forgotten to feed the damn cat.

Robert spent the night doing nothing but worry considering he didn't have much that he could do in the way of studying. Instead of bringing knowledge to his classes, he brought the bear, hoping he might be able to find it's owner, and return it. First things first though, he had to get the English class out of the way.
He entered the classroom and walked over to his desk and put his head down, expecting to bring it up and do some crappy test. To his surprise though, his teacher never showed up. He was overly happy about this, and left his classroom thinking such. His luck had changed.
