Chapter 39: Second Chances

Valentine's passed by like a blur.

Each day that went after that became like seconds that each time you blink a new day comes with.

I sighed before staring at the upper atmosphere with a small smile.  Purple and pink hues blend together cascading through the sky. Days like this makes my stomach churn with an uneasy feeling.

It's too calm and peaceful.

It's already noon and nothing happened expect for some paperworks to do. No fights. No arguments. No nothing.

So I took the liberty to come up here and refresh my mind.

The days that passed by without any harm occuring that is connected to me gave me anxiety. It had been a month or so and nothing happened. Not that I'm not grateful for the safety but it gave me  too many thoughts swirling around not leaving my head.

It embedded a pitch black hole deep in my gut telling me that something will happen. Something big and nerve wrecking. 

Wind blew slowly sending a cool sensation to my warm body. Inhaling it calmed my nerves as I heave a sigh.

I've been exposed to too much stress, arguments and violence. Well, I have been exposed to it before I went here but the occurrence of all of those three happened at least thrice a day.

Days went by like a breeze. I tried my best to stop the fights, really, but there are things that we can't change even if we tried enough. All I can do is to make sure that none of them dies. 

Cypheria wouldn't be Cypheria if I change the main activity in this Academy. It wouldn't be the same anymore.

I turned around before shaking my head. I glanced at my watch to see that an hour had already pass and it's 4:30 pm. In just a few hours the day would end and another would begin.

Turning my heal around I went to the door to leave. Maglalakad-lakad ako ngayon to see if anything happened.

Nasa rooftop ako ng Accountancy building so I'll be inspecting this first. I went to corridors after corriders of this building. Halos mabibilang ko lang Ang students na nakasalubong ko.

Some of them were in there respective rooms while the others went to there dorms I suppose.

Bumaba naman ako to suspect the gardens Hahaha. I just want to see the flowers talaga.

Entering the Accountancy garden I saw charts and numbers. Hmm. Walking through a path made of logs I saw different Laws imbedded on woods hanging on each side of the route.

After looking around I went to the school field where I saw many students. Some were playing, the others were laying, while most are surrounding on something??

Nang makalapit ako sa pinagkakaguluhan nila I raised a brow. There are three people in the middle. Two girls and 1 guy. Wow. Ano ’to drama?

“YOU SLUT! Inagaw mo sa’kin si Lexus! Ang pangit pangit mo pa!”

Ay hala drama nga.

Napakunot ang noo ko. I can't help but scrunch my nose as my face turned sour. Memories from a few months came downing at me.

I remember how I judge girls who wore revealing clothing and bold make up. I'm such a pick me before and I want to throw up and beat my self up for my childish and judgmental self.
