Radio: 'What should we do? Commander, we are lost without your orders! '
I hit the wall next to me.
Damn it! What should I do?
Y / N: "Move groups 3 and 4 north immediately! Fight with every man you have! You have to get to us as soon as possible. '
Radio: 'That will cost a lot of losses.'
Y / N: 'It's the only way that at least some of us will survive.'
Radio: 'I understand. Comrades! Advance north, take no account of losses! '
This is a cruel fight ...
I heard loud gunshots from forwards, this time nearer then before.
MTF soldier: "We have heavy firefights from sector G5 directly ahead of us commander! The estimated troop strength is between 290 to 320 men. '
320 men? We have a maximum troop strength of 50 in all groups...
MTF soldier: 'Commander we have no chance against this superiority.'
Y / N: 'Comrades!'
I stepped forward, ready to take the necessary step.
Perhaps only a few of us will leave this hell alive, but this is the only step that at least that could save some of us...
Most of the enemy soldiers are ahead of us and they will destroy us if we don't push them back...
Y / N: 'I failed. I'm so sorry. But I don't give up. I hope some of us get out of here alive. I will advance north and buy you enough time. Fall back south and break up the formation of the enemies. So you can group up with the groups 3 and 4 then push to the left as quickly as possible to break through their formation and escape through the connection to the left sector. "
My men, who were busy holding back the enemy, turned to me and one stepped forward.
MTF soldier: 'We won't let you run into your death. We'll come with you. '
Y / N: 'You don't have to.'
MTF soldier: 'We insist! We won't let you die alone Commander!'
I heard my men cheering loudly and I smiled.
Breathe in.
Breath out.
I walked slowly north into our death as the soldiers ran south to support the breakthrough to groups 3 and 4.
MTF soldier: 'It was an honor to fight with you, Commander! Good luck Comrades! '
Y / N: 'It was an honor for me that I was able to fight alongside such great comrades.'
I pulled my long combat knifes and lifted them up in the air.
Y / N: 'It's time we will become heroes now. COMRADES! ATTACK!!!'I rushed towards the enemy while my men ran after me with raised rifles and war cries into our death.
Soon we had visual contact and my men hid behind corners and door frames while shooting at the enemy and killing one by one.
I'm going to smash their formation to make them even easier targets.
I ran towards them, dodged there projectiles skillfully, and plunged into battle.
As I ran through them, the walls were spattered with red blood when I cut them into pieces, I heard the cries of my comrades being punctured by the rain of bullets.
Damn it!
I didn't turn around.
No, I can't lose sight of my focus now.
Kill as many as possible.
We're lost anyway.
I continued, maybe I'll get to their commander before they will overwhelm me.
When I briefly sank into my thoughts I became careless.
Fortunately, a few bullets hit me and were mostly stopped by my bulletproof vest.
I threw my knives which penetrated the skulls of two enemy soldiers and killed them immediately.
Before they fell to the ground, I pulled their pistols out of their holsters and started shooting at the soldiers in front of me.
They fell in rows.
Y / N: 'Almost like Aimbot. Maybe we have a chance too. '
I wanted to pull the trigger one last time, but no shot was released.
Damn it! The ammunition is empty.
I dropped the pistols and rushed towards my opponents again.
Shortly afterwards I saw a person dressed differently than the normal soldiers.
That had to be the enemy commander.
I'll finish him!
Filled with new motivation, I rushed towards the mass of opponents one last time and dug deep into their formation.
Now I was only a few meters away from the commander, who was looking at me with wide eyes.
I pulled a knife from one of the soldiers equipment and stormed towards him ready to sink the knife deep into his chest.
I hit him and he was thrown back a few meters,
He landed roughly on the floor where he remained motionless.
He should be dead now...
I wanted to continue slaughtering the soldiers around me but more bullets hit me.
They flew through my shoulders and into my back.
A wave of intense pain ran through me and I fell on my knees.
I couldn't move anymore.
The bullets probably damaged my spine.
Damn it.
???: 'Don't kill him!'
The Chaos Insurgency soldiers stopped.
The commander who should be dead slowly got up and wiped some blood from the corner of his mouth.
Damn, he was wearing a bulletproof vest too so my knife had no effect on him.
Commander: 'You caught me well, you must have broken some of my ribs.'
He came up to me and looked at the immense devastation behind me.
Commander: 'You are really a monster. I was told that you have somewhat above-average skills, but I didn't expect this. '
He laughed to cover up his fear from me.
Commander: 'Do you have any last words, monster?'
Y / N: "My men have surely escaped your claws. Kill me already I have achieved my goal anyway.'
He laughed out loud.
Commander: 'You mean the soldiers you left behind before you caused this massacre? Unfortunately I have to disappoint you, they are all dead! '
I faded out my pain and looked up at him.
Y / N: 'LIAR! DON'T LIE TO ME YOU FOOL!!!'
He laughed again.
Commander: 'I can prove it to you.'
With an evil smile, he took his radio out of his pocket.
Commander: "Take the group commander's helmets with you our monster here, don't believe his men are dead. And hurry up! '
We waited while the tension grew every minute.
Two minutes later.
Some soldiers came and brought my comrades helmets.
They were covered with blood and there were bullet holes in them.
I stared at the helmets.
There were these decorations on them
Undeniably, they are my comrades helmets.
I shook my head.
Y / N: 'Impossible that can't be ...'
I stared at the helmets of my fallen comrades.
Commander: 'You see. How can you be so stupid and think that fifty against one thousand three hundred men could work? You were sent to an Ascension Command. But it don't matters anymore burn in hell.'
He smiled in his arrogance and aimed his pistol on my head.
Commander: 'Good night.'
Then he pulled the trigger.
