Foundation Raid

O5 Councils POV

O5-1: 'I forgot to mention that the locating device that I gave O5-5 also has a listening function too, and I just received the signal with the recorded data.'
The other O5's looked at O5-1 partly excited and surprised and partly shocked.

The sun shone down on us and illuminated the interior of the armored transporting vehicle.
We jumped out of the back and looked around.
Nothing, there was nothing to see around here except a spilled hole.
My men followed me and we stopped in front of the hole sealed with a mixture of gravel and stones.
Y / N: 'There it is.'
I pointed to the hole and kept walking ahead as my men started preparing the hole with explosives.
Then we took cover and I ignited the charge with a remote detonator.
BOOOOOOM !!!
A loud bang that deafened us broke down on us while the earth was thrown into the air.
The tunnel was opened now.
I jumped down while my men used ladders to get into the underground passage.
It was a large passage about five meters in diameter while the passage in front of us continued to descend.
We lighted the passage with flashlights and followed it for a few minutes.
Y / N: 'Over there.'
I pointed into the darkness.
We soon came to an end.
The stone wall ended abruptly with a sealed concrete wall.
Y / N: 'Go back, I'll take care of it!'
My men obeyed and went back a few meters while I took out the plastic explosives and attached a few loads to the concrete wall in front of me.
I connected the remote detonator to the loads and went back a long distance.
Y / N: 'Cover your ears!'
Then I pressed the detonator.
BOOOOOM !!!
Another devastating explosion shook us.
Y / N: 'GO! ATTACK!!!'
I raised my rifle and ran towards the opening in front of me.
The view was very limited because of the explosion, but we knew exactly where to go.
My men followed me, using the door frames and walls as cover while I rushed forward.
Gunfire can't harm me anyway.
As expected, there was no resistance.
I stopped and looked around.
It was like I remembered, white painted, simple corridors and bright white LED lamps that illuminated the corridors.
I took out my radio.
Y / N: 'The air is pure you can follow me again!'
Radio: 'Yes!'
Half an minute later the alarm was triggered at the same time as my men arrived, the lamps switched the same way like in the containment breaches but the intercoms remained deactivated.
Y / N: 'We were noticed! Let's continue before we need to face them.'
We continued and ran through the corridors even faster than before.
Fortunately, the corridors weren't separated from armored doors like in the heavy containment zone, otherwise we would never have reached our destination in time.
The first Foundation Guards appeared earlier than expected, which attacked us when we made eye contact but were shot very quickly by me.
My men took care of the other enemies as we continued to advance inexorably.
Y / N: 'Keep fighting we will be there soon!'
There were no more enemies.
Will they trying to attack us from another position now?
No matter we had to continue as soon as possible!
Eventually there was a possibility that the O5's could be evacuated before we arrived.
Now we found ourselves outside of the O5 conference room.
Y / N: 'Position men!'
We all aimed at the door while I tried to open the door.

The door opened, revealing the dark cool room.
Everything was as I remembered it, the large circular round table, the chairs and other small details.
Everything was there except the O5's.
The room was empty.
Did they escape?

We took down our guns and I searched the room for clues.
I looked at the large, heavy round table and leaned over O5-1's chair.
A map of the Foundation was laying on the massive table.
There were a few pens and tools next to the card.
Did you make a plan?
I looked over at the map and was startled.
Our entire plan was drawn in red.
Did they know about the attack?
The blue pencil should probably mark the Foundation's troops.
They were in our vicinity all the time.
Damn the O5's saw through me.
Or maybe not?
Did O5-5 betray me?
I didn't know it.
CI soldier: 'What's going on commander?'
I gathered myself and concentrated on the essentials again.
Y / N: 'We lost ... They saw through our plan ...'
Ci soldier: 'What?'
Y / N: 'We have to get out of here as fast as possible! RUN! '
I pushed him towards the exit of the room.
I immediately got radio contact.
Radio: 'Commander we have heavy enemy contact from all sides!'
Damn it!
Y / N: 'RETREAT! WE WILL ESCAPE THROUGH THE TUNNEL! '
I heard some shots nearby.
We have to keep going.

O5 Councils POV

O5-1 watched the transmission via the surveillance cameras.
He got up and started clapping his hands while laughing loudly.'
The intruders had almost all disappeared into the tunnel again.
He took out his remote detonator and activated the explosive charges.

Y / N's POV

Soon we will be out.
I stood in the transition to the tunnel and single-handedly stopped the foundations advancing.
Then I followed my men into the dark.
After a short time I caught up with them.
Somehow I felt strangely uncomfortable.
I no longer heard the footsteps of the foundation Guards behind us.
A trap?
Damn it!
Before I could say anything, the walls around me exploded.
My sight went black and I was brutally thrown through the air.
A little later I landed roughly on the floor and lost consciousness for a few seconds.

I heard everything muffled like inside a helmet.
Someone dragged me across the ground and shouted at me.
Slowly my senses returned.
CI soldier: 'Commander! How are you?'
I sat up slowly.

He took my hand and pulled me up.
CI Soldier: 'The escape route has been blown up and foundation's troops are coming from the front, we are surrounded and some have been killed already, what should we do?'
