"Who are you?" I asked as I hold the knife up at the woman's throat. "How did you get in this house?" I asked.

The woman moved and smiled at me.

"It's me, Maya." The woman answered.

"Me, who?" I asked.

I frown slightly at the woman's purple eye color maybe she's wearing contacts, maybe she's a cold one. I sniffed her to make sure but she just smelt like something familiar.

"I'm your mother." She said.

"What?" I asked, shocked.

The woman smiles at me, "I'm so glad you're okay and had a normal childhood. I've missed you so much. You're pregnant." She said.

When it looks as if she's going to step forward to give me a hug, I step back slightly.

She notices my movement and quickly rights herself, looking surprised at my reaction to her wanting to hug me.

She gives me a smile and puts out her hand and I shake it.

"So, you're my mother but you look different from the pictures that I have of you." I said, confused.

"This is my natural form." She said.

"What the hell do you mean natural form?" I asked.

"I come from a family called The Tribunal, we are basically magical beings that are unfortunately responsible for the existence of the children of the moon and vampires." She answered.

I groaned.

"So, what does this have to do with me?" I asked.
