I asked my mom, who after some questions, agreed to let her come over.

I told Clover, texted her my address and ten minutes later, I heard the door bell ring.

"Hey, that was fast" I said as I opened the door.

"I drove" Clover replied, pointing at a car that had appeared in our driveway.

"You drive?" I asked, envious of her.

"Yeah, you don't?"

"I wish" I replied "my mum won't let me"

"Oh....I can totally keep standing here while we talk, that's no problem" she suddenly said, making me aware of the fact that I hadn't invited her in.

"Sorry, my bad, come in" I said laughing.

"Thank you" she replied, an amused smile on her face and made her way over to a couch "why though?"

"What?" I asked, seating on the couch adjacent to hers.

"Your mum, why wouldn't she let you drive?" She asked.

"Oh, bad experience" I shrugged, just as Tyler ran over to me.

"Dani, come and play cops and robbers with me" he said, oblivious to Clover's presence.

"I can't Ty, I have a visitor" I said pointing to Clover. He turned over to look at her for a few seconds.

"Who is she?" He asked.

"She's my friend from school, Clover" I replied.

"Grover?" He asked.

"No, Ty, Clover" I corrected.

"Hi Clover, I'm Tyler and Dani is my big sister" he said stretching his hand towards Clover for a handshake.

"Nice to meet you Tyler" she replied, taking his tiny hands in hers and then squeezing his cheeks "Now aren't you a cutie"

"Thank you" he blushed and ran out of the living room.

"Awwwn, he's so cute" she gushed.

"Yeah, wait till he gets comfortable around you, then you'll know" I scoffed.

"Yeah, right, he can't be that bad" she replied.

"Don't say I didn't warn you" I replied, putting my hands in the air.

"Whatever" she replied rolling her eyes.

"So, where did your mum go?" I asked, changing the topic.

"Oh, she went to a friend's party" she replied.

"And your dad?" I asked.

"Well, let's just say, we don't live together" she said and then leaned in to whisper "I'm a hook up baby, except I know my dad"

"Oh" I replied, my eyes widening.

"Yeah, so what do we do now?" She asked.

"I don't know, come on" I said leading her to my room.

When we got there, we sat on my bed and talked about random things for a while before she noticed my book shelf.

"Hey, you like reading too?" She asked going over to it.

"Yeah" I replied "those are some of my favourite books"

"Woah" she replied, looking through them. She then picked one and started to read it, while I scrolled through my Instagram feed.

"Hey, so you know how you were saying I have a crush on Thomas?" She suddenly said some minutes later.

"Yeah?"

"Well, you're right" she said, earning her a look from me.

"No shit, Clover" I said rolling my eyes.

"It's just," she continued "Steve and his friends have been bullying me for as long as I can remember, especially Cynthia and I don't think you're supposed to like your bullies or their friends"

"Thomas bullies you too?" I asked.

"No, but he knows they do and doesn't say a thing" she replied "That's practically the same thing to me. What do I do?"

"Well, first of all, I'm bad at giving advice" I started "and also, you said so yourself, they've been friends for a while and maybe he doesn't want to ruin that just for a girl he's not even friends with"

"Now there's the problem" she replied "we're not friends, but recently, he's been nice to me, like really nice and I don't know what to think anymore"

"Nice to you how?" I asked.

"Like on Thursday, in Biology class, he chose to be my partner and we talked a lot during the practical, during which I laughed a lot because he has an admirable sense of humor......or maybe I just laughed at everything he said, I don't know. Anyways, after that, he asked to buy me lunch. Me. Clover. The nerd. In tiny glasses." she said making me laugh.

"Well, maybe he's started to like you" I shrugged.

"No way, that's far fetched" she refused "and besides, Cynthia would go ballistic, on me, by the way, if she found out that Thomas liked me, that's if he does, because according to her, and I quote 'You're too ugly to be looked at, let alone liked'"

She said the last part, holding her nose to imitate the nasally voice with which Cynthia speaks and I burst into laughter.

"It's possible Clo, I'm serious" I said still chuckling "If I'm right, the next time Cynthia or anyone else tries to bully you in his prescence, he'd stop them or something."

"I wish" she said rolling her eyes.

"Just try it out, see if it happens" I urged her.

"And if it does?" She asked.

"It means he's started to like you" I said totally unsure of what I was saying - thanks to the extreme lack of romance in my life - despite the huge smile plastered on my face.

"So what happens then?" She asked panicking now "what if he asks me to be his girlfriend?". I started laughing again.

"You know, for someone who is not supposed to 'like her bullies' friends', you sure are thinking far ahead, alright" I said amidst laughter.

"Come on, Dani, I'm serious" she whined.

"Alright, alright, when we get to that bridge, we'll just cross it" I shrugged.

"If you say so" she sighed "anyways, enough about me. How are you finding your new school?"

"Well, I'd say it's just like I expected, a typical high school with rich and mean kids and bullies and stuff" I shrugged.

"Hmmm, so you and Blake huh?" She started, a smirk on her face.

"I had a feeling you were going to ask that" I said groaning "Stop with the shipping, we're just friends, nothing more, nothing less, Clo"

"Okay, if you say so" she replied, making it obvious, she didn't believe me.

After that we just talked about random stuff until it was 7pm and her mom texted her to come home. An early curfew, if you ask me.

When she left, I went back to my room to continue reading my book till it was dinner time. My mum made spag bol, one of my favourite meals and trust me, I had two servings.

My Sunday was as boring as Sundays could be, right after church. When we moved, we started to attend a church that our neighbour, Mrs. Rose invited us to. My mom liked the church's service the first Sunday we attended, said it was short and spiritual and so she decided that would be our new church.

The rest of my day flew by and I mentally prepared myself for the third week of my new life as Daniella Robinson.

Just to clear things up, Dani and her family moved to NY the week before she resumed school.
