"Kora!" Keith called out.
"Yeah Keith?" Kora questioned walking over to the male.
"Are you going to the doctors with me or do you want to go over to Shiro's? I'm not leaving you here alone." Keith said as he got Sophia bundled up.
It was November. And it was snowing.
Lance wasn't home at the moment due to work.
"I'll go with you." Kora said getting her stuff on.
"It's just a check up. The police did a background check on Sophia. She's about 5 months old. So she'll need a checkup considering how long she's been in that basement for." Keith mumbled.
"So we won't be long?" Kora questioned.
Keith shook his head as he put his jacket on. "Not to long."
~~~~~~
"She's healthy." The doctor smiled. "So you got nothing to worry about. But you will have to make another appointment since she has to get her shots done."
Keith nodded understandably. "Okay. I'll make one while I'm here then."
"Perfect. Well, you're all clear to head out. Be safe."
"Thank you." Keith smiled.
"Can we get food after this?" Kora asked hopefully. "I'm starving."
"Yeah we can." Keith answered as they left the room. "We'll have to be quick though. Sophia's nap time is coming up."
"Okay." Kora said.
So, Keith quickly booked another appointment for Sophia and the trio set out for food.
"What do you want for lunch?" Keith asked the 13 year old as he buckled Sophia up in the car.
Kora shrugged. "McDonald's?"
"Yeah we can do that."
~~~~~
"So you go back to school tomorrow." Keith mumbled sitting next to Kora.
"I almost forgot about that." Kora said as she sat in the living room and played minecraft.
"Try not to get into a fight. What do you think mom would say about that?" Keith asked.
Kora shoulders dropped. "She's not here Keith. So how should I know?" The girl questioned harshly.
Keith was taken aback by the tone. "Kora?"
"I'll be in my room, doing work if you need me." Kora muttered getting off the game and walking away.
"Kora?" Keith called out but was ignored.
The male sighed and put his head in his hands.
"Everything okay?"
Keith jumped and turned around to see Lance. "Jeez babe. You fucking scared me."
"Sorry." Lance chucked. "But seriously. What's wrong?"
"It's just Kora." Keith said. "She doesn't talk about mom anymore or even when I bring mom up she just walks away or avoids the conversation."
"Do you think that Tiffany girl words are getting to her?" Lance asked.
"I honestly don't know Lance." Keith sighed as he leaned back into the couch. "I don't even know what to do anymore."
"Well for now, we'll leave her be." Lance said hopping over the couch, taking a seat next to Keith. "And then I'll go and see if I can talk to her."
