Enjoy~~~
It's been a few days since Keith seen his mother. And since he gave her his decision.
~Flashback~
"So what do you say Keith? Will you join us?"
Keith nodded and slammed his fists together (haha BNHA fans know!)
"I want in! I want to take them down. After everything they did to Kora and Sophia. I want them out."
Krolia smiled. "There's just one issue. The girls cannot be involved."
Keith sighed and thought for a moment. "I'll see if Rosa can take care of them for me."
Krolia nodded. "Now. I want you to gather up your friends. I hate to drag them into this as well, but we need all the help we can get. But I won't let Shay join. She's pregnant right?"
Keith nodded. "Don't worry. I'll do what I can."
~Flashback over~
"What's got you thinking so hard?"
Keith jumped at the sound of his boyfriends voice. Turning his head, he spotted Lance walking towards him.
It was the afternoon, Lance's family wasn't home. They wanted to do some shopping before they left. Kora was having an afternoon nap in her room as Sophia was in her parents room also napping.
"My mom." Keith answered.
Lance took a seat next to Keith on the couch. "What about her?"
"The reason why I took so long earlier, when I left, I met up with my mom." Keith said. "Found out a few things that I never knew about my mom and dad."
"Babe?"
"My parents were, are, in a gang or something." Keith explained. "They ran away. But my dads past haunted him and got him killed. My mom went back to the gang and has been helping them since. But now they want me, you, our friends to join them. They need our help."
"And let me guess." Lance mumbled. "The gang that killed your father happens to be the one Lotor is apart of."
Keith nodded. "We have to help them, Lance. We need to stop Lotor's gang. After what they did to Sophia..."
"I know." Lance said softly as he put his head in is hands. "You do know how dangerous this is right?"
Keith nodded.
"And that we could get seriously hurt."
Keith once again nodded.
"Well what about the girls?" Lance questioned.
"I was hoping that your mom would watch them for us?"
Lance sighed. "Babe I don't know about all this. Do you really want to join a gang? Get possibly killed? And be away from the girls for a long time, like who knows how long."
"But they would be safe." Keith argued. "They wouldn't have to worry about anyone trying to harm them!"
Lance went to speak up but the sound of glass breaking stopped him.
Keith immediately shot off of the couch, hearing grunts of pain.
"Kora." Lance whispered.
The two quickly ran down to Kora's room and whipped the door open.
"KEITH HELP!" Kora cried as someone's arms wrapped around her.
"Get away from my daughter!" Krolia's voice rang out.
Kora was thrown across the room, in Keith's direction.
"I gotcha." Keith grunted catching the girl.
Krolia was thrown to the floor while the unknown person jumped out the window.
Lance ran towards the window only to find them gone.
"They're gone."
~~~~
"Oh my goodness." Krolia smiled as she held her granddaughter for the first time. "You're gorgeous."
Lance was rubbing Keith's back as he leaned against the counter, his head in his hands.
Kora sat next to her brother, clinging on to his arm, terrified for what just happened.
"Who was that?" Keith questioned.
"A man, apart of Lotor's gang." Krolia said. "I've been keeping a close eye on him. He's been moving around a lot more lately, been getting more active. Kolivan thought it would be a good idea to follow him around, especially since he's been keeping a close eye on Kora."
Keith stiffened. "If he's been keeping a close eye on Kora...."
Kora let out a small whimper as she moved closer to Keith.
"Keith. We need to go." Krolia muttered. "We need to get everything set. Have you talked to the others?"
Keith nodded. "Lance, Shiro, Adam and Allura are in so far. Hunk said he was thinking about. Shay wants him to join us though."
"Wait. Are you saying you spoke to the others before you spoke to me?" Lance questioned, pulling away from Keith.
"Lance-"
"No no. Just hang on a minute." Lance said. "Why was I the last one you spoke to about this? Why did you go to the others first? Tell me Keith. Why?"
Kora got up, walking over to her mother as they watched it the drama unfold in front of them.
Keith was silent as he tried to sort his thoughts out. Why did he talk to the others first? Was it because they were easier to talk to and explain to? Or was it because he thought Lance would try to get him to change his mind and let his mom do all the work?
"Unbelieveable." Lance scoffed running his hands through his hair.
"Lance." Keith said gently. "Can we talk somewhere else? I promise I'll explain everything. I just don't want to do it in front of them."
Lance glanced at Keith before giving a small nod as he moved to get the car keys.
"Mom, are you okay-"
"I got them." Krolia interuppted.
Keith gave her a small smile. "Rosa and the others will be back soon. If we aren't back before them that is. Just let them know who you are and all that. Kora will show you where Sophia's things are as well."
Krolia nodded. "Don't worry we got it."
~~~~~~~~~
"That's why you talked to them first?"
Keith nodded. "I just didn't want you to freak out or anything. I was scared that you would try to change my mind or something. I'm sorry for not telling you first."
"I forgive you. I guess I understand where you're coming from."
The car went silent as Keith stared at Lance.
He was thankful that Lance understood everything. He was thankful that nothing went the way he thought it would have gone.
As Keith got lost in thought about his boyfriend, Lance looked over at the smaller male.
"Keith?" Lance questioned gently.
"Hm?"
"I love you." Lance whispered moving closer to Keith.
"I love you." Keith whispered back. "More than you'll ever know."
Their lips slammed against eachother, hands getting tangled in eachothers hair.
Trust, Lust, Love. So many emotions. They needed to feel eachother in that moment. To know they were there.
And for once, Keith felt like he was safe.
