The guy came closer, I could hear him laughing, I could see his shoulders shaking as he laughed but couldn't see his face. Then I did what I wanted to do for a long time I punched him in the face with my right hand trying not to move my left hand much and the impact of my fist on his face made a painfull noise.

"ahh" the guy grunted out in pain.

"Hurts doesn't it? Now tell me who you are" I shouted, my knuckles were hurting from the punch. And I found the voice oddly familiar.

The guy didn't respond but instead reached out to turn on the lights and guess who was that, August Fernando. For a moment I stilled, I had punched my brother in the face. His left cheek was red and a bruise was already forming. But a tiny part of me didn't regret punching him in the face, maybe because I've always wanted to do it or maybe because he almost gave me a heart attack. Either way I'm proud of what I did.

"It was you...?" I asked dumbstruck.

"Are you out of your mind?" he asked, I shook my head aggressively.

"Excuse me, you scared me out of my skin acting like some serial killer and your asking me if I am mad? You almost gave me heart attack"

"urghh" I really do appreciate his extensive us of his vocabulary, seriously that was a long reply and a perfect one. That explains everything.

Mom and Dad burst into my room.
"Charlie what's wrong we heard you screaming and..." Mom noticed August.

"oh my goodness! Charlie what have you done?" mom asked me and my mouth hung open, I was a bit offended, i mean it wasn't like he could only get hurt by me hitting him, something could have happened.

"And shouldn't you be asleep?" dad asked me, just wow. I turned my head towards him my mouth still open to which he shrugged.

"August....oh my, what happened?" mom tilted my brother's head inspecting the bruise I had put on by punching him. I turned my head at the only window in the room in embarrassment, I was about to turn back around and explain but some movement in the dark caught my attention. The feeling of being watched came back to me in full force making the hair on the back of my neck stand up. For a moment I just stood there, watching the silhouette of a person just watching me, unable to move my body or even my eyes from the figure that watched me from the darkness. Fear building inside me and my breathing getting heavier.

A hand rested on my shoulder and I jumped up startled. My dad's concerned face came into my view.

"Hey, you okay?" He asked glancing at the place outside I was looking, but this time it was empty. I looked at him and gave him a nod and a reassuring smile.

"I'm okay, I was just...you know, thinking" I said pointing at my head. Dad turned to look at mom and they shared a look.

"So is anyone going to tell me what happened?" Mom asked us with a stern look.

"I brought Charlie cake and she punched me in the face"

"wait, what? You brought me cake? You?" He nodded, little pink flooding into his sharp features. He was never the one to buy me food like this. I looked at the table near the switches and saw a cake, a chocolate one at that and two spoons and plates.

"and the knife?" I asked.

"to cut it of course. I thought we could eat it together."

Oh... That's so sweet. The guy bought a cake for us to eat. I mean 'us' in which I'm included. I hugged him, he hugged me back. We were having our perfect sister-brother moment (for the first time) until he sniffed me.
