After one week of disturbing home stay, I returned to the college.
T'was nice to be with my best buddies again.
The past few days were terrible. Questions in my mind haunted me more than the loss of my parents. Afterall who knew, if the next target of that murderer was me?
Throughout the time I carried my red diary with me. I used to write whatever went on in my mind at a moment.
"Jacob, I said give it back!" I shouted.
"Woah! Let's have a look what consists this red treasure book", said Jacob.
He opened my diary to some page and started reading aloud...
"For days
I couldn't sleep,
For some faces ask me,
In my dreams,
Who was it?
And I have no answer..."
"You should see a doctor. Get this matter off your head, it's better than burying these words between the pages", suggested Jacob.
"Maybe, you're right, I don't know, leave me alone"
I snatched my diary from Jacob and left the room.
Later that day, I was sitting alone at a corner when a hand rested on my shoulder. It was Joanne.
She sat beside me .
"I overheard all of what happened today between you and Jacob", she said. "You should try listening to some soothing music, that might help."
"Thanks for suggestion, will try", I replied.
"I have one more suggestion for you", She grabbed my wrist and looked into my eyes and pushed something inside my fist,
"Have this before sleep, I read somewhere this helps for a good sleep".
Saying this she went away.
I opened my fist and found a bar of dark chocolate. There was nothing wrong in trying a chocolate. Afterall it was from Joanne, one of my best buddies, I could trust her. I put that chocolate in my pocket and returned home.
Now I don't need to say "I'm home!" while entering.
There's no one who's interested to know if I am home or not.
At night I did exactly what Joanne told. I listened to some soothing tracks, a few high beat ones and at last, Faded by Alan Walker .Then, before going to bed I took a slice of that bar of dark chocolate and I slept.
Joanne was right, this really helps.
For hours I had a peaceful sleep.
"Hey! Get up! Yo! Girl! Hahah-", some voice rang in my mind.
I opened my eyes and find someone running out of the room!
"Who's there?"
No reply.
"Should I call Mr. Russell?
Wait, where is my phone?" I thought.
Some glass article fell and broke.
