Weapon: a specially designed sniper rifle that was hand built by Arlo. In sniper configuration, it can use multiple types of dust for rounds. The sniper has a custom built grappling hook. The sniper can also turn into a glaive with the ability to channel different types of dust.

Semblance: Arlo is able to create a summon of a large dog to his side named Alastair. The dog resembles a Tibetan Mastiff, however his fur glows Arlo's aura colour. Alastair can be created in his full size, which stands to be 7ft off the ground, or in a puppy form. Arlo is able to use Alastair to speak with the aid of telepathy.

Backstory: Arlo Moon was orphaned at the age of 5 when he and his family were attacked by an underground cult. The cult is known as the Serpents, an organization originally from Vacuo. The attack killed Arlo's parents, and severely injured him. The shrapnel of the explosions hit him, piercing into his left eye and into his throat. After he was rescued, doctors managed to remove the shrapnel from his throat, but could not repair the damage. After the operation, Arlo realized that he could no longer speak. The shrapnel had robbed him of his left eye as well as his voice. Before the doctors could stop him, Arlo ran away from the hospital in a fit of sadness and rage.
Arlo struggled to survive for two years. During the years, he met a little girl who, like him, was a mute. The two joined and fought for survival for another 3 years. During all that time, Arlo swore that he would kill the people responsible for murdering his family and ruining his life.
When his friend was threatened by a gang of homeless hunters, was then when his semblance unlocked, creating Alastair the guardian. Whenever the children felt alone, Arlo would summon Alastair to comfort them. But when a Grimm attack came, Arlo and the girl were separated, leaving the both of them to believe the other perished.
Soon after, Arlo reunited with the Huntress who had rescued him, and she brought him to Beacon as per Professor Ozpin's instructions. Arlo then built his weapon, choosing the same weapon as Summer Rose, with his own customizations.
