Third person's P.O.V
"I still think that Jay should show her around," Kai repeated.
Alice turned from her vanity to stare at her brother, who was leaning against her doorway.
"And I still think that I don't care what you think and I'm showing her around today," Alice retorted.
"You're not even wearing proper attire," Kai gestured to Alice's outfit.
Alice looked down at herself, staring at her long sleeved orange crop top, black pants and wedges.
"It's proper for today. We're going out in one of the cars, we're going to be normal people, and we're not going to be royalty," Alice rolled her eyes, referring to herself and Melody.
Kai sighed, rubbing his temples.
"If it makes you feel better, I promise not to die," Alice said.
"..."
"How is that supposed to help?" Kai deadpanned.
"I don't know," Alice shrugged, turning back to her vanity's mirror to put her hair into her ponytail.
"Remember. Curfew's at 8," Kai turned to leave.
"Curfew's at 11 tonight," Alice said, making Kai stop in his tracks.

"I'm just going to keep going down. 6:30"

"8. No later."
"Bitch. Why are we even arguing this? I'm 17, you idiot. I can make my own curfew, dammit."
"9:30. Final offer."
"Ugh, fine," Alice rolled her eyes in a groan.
Kai left the room.
Alice smirked, pulling out her crossed fingers from her hair.
Alice and Melody sat in one of the cars, a convertible with its top down, that the royal family owned. Alice in the front seat, while Melody sat on the passenger's side.
Reluctantly, Kai ordered the guards to open the gate and let the two go.
"Now...what to show you first..." Alice hummed.
While Alice thought over what to show the mermaid turned human, she stared at all the wonders that aren't underwater.
Therefore, everything.
The buildings, the concrete, the cars, and the animals were all things that Melody was committing to her memory.
"Aha! Got it!" Alice exclaimed. She steered the car into the direction she wanted to go.
Melody paid no mind to what Alice said, she just stared at everything.
Alice and Melody sat beside each other in the kingdom's library, reading a book together. They sat next to a window in orange and blue beanbag chairs, Melody leaning against Alice and reading over her shoulder.
