I'm an idiot for even entering that alley! Ugh!

I groaned as I ran down the sidewalk at 8pm with four guys chasing me. I spotted a library ahead and the guy just closing the door. "Hey!" I called and he looked up. "Get in," I called over and he walked in and I ran in after him, slamming the door shut after and locking it. I panted as I leaned my back against the door and looked the guy up and down. He had black fluffy hair with bangs that came out in front of his eye and black eyes behind a pair of circle rimmed glasses. He also had a cute puff ball of black fluff coming out of his pants in the back and little circle bear ears out of his head.

"Harry Potter?" I joked and he narrowed his eyes. "What was that about?" I sighed and he crossed his arms. "Just some dudes I pissed off," I said and he rolled his eyes. "How long are we gonna stay in here? I was just closing up," he said, raising an eyebrow and I shrugged. My wolf ears twitched and I heard three pairs of footsteps walking around this building. "Not anytime soon," I muttered, standing and walking off to a chair and sitting down on it.

"And my name isn't Harry Potter, it's Xavier," the badass ripoff of Harry Potter said and I laughed. "Yeah ok. And I'm Alec." My pink eyes gleamed and my tail twitched a bit as I picked up a comic and started flipping through it. "How did you piss them off?" Xavier asked and I rolled my eyes again. "I don't know. Broke a rule or something. Wouldn't kill who they wanted-" I froze with wide eyes. I wasn't supposed to say that. Shit.

Xavier chuckled. "Don't worry about it. I won't tell anyone," Xavier said and I sighed with relief even though I side eyed him. "Thanks, I guess. But what's stopping you?" Stop! What was I saying?! Xavier laughed at the question and raised an eyebrow. "Who asked you to kill someone?" He asked and I looked down. "Olivia Freshman?" I said in a questioning tone. Xavier snapped. "Yep! That's my boss. I'm her "right hand man" but not as loyal." Xavier chuckled at the end. "Who'd she ask you to terminate?" He asked and I cringed at 'terminate'. Did he really have to phrase it like that?

"A young girl, Alice? Or someone said her code name was Dreamslayer. I met up with her once and when I figured out she had a family, I couldn't bring myself to do it." Xavier pursed his lips. "I've gotten the same person before. Though I actually attempted," Xavier said and I looked up with surprise. His eyes were dull and cold and I suddenly got the feeling that I should be afraid of him... very afraid.

Xavier looked back at the door then creaked it open and gestured me forward with a hand. "They're gone." I stood up and walked out and sighed. "Don't tell anyone that I was here tonight," I said, glancing back at him. "Mhm sure," Xavier said, almost absently as he walked out and locked the door behind him.

When Xavier turned around, I pinned him to the door, pressing his hands against the door too. His eyes widened and his cheeks flushed. "Got it?" I said sharply and he nodded. "Yes sir!" He blurted and I smirked then let it fade and stepped back. "Goodbye Harry~" I drawled as I walked off.
