A bit of playful banter...

"Then x goes here and y-" I mumbled under my breath and heard a growl from across the room. "Will you shut up already! I'm trying to get this done," my sister snapped. She was only in my room to use my laptop and I refused to let her leave with it. "Then leave the room," I teased without looking up from my homework and twirling the pencil in my right hand. "I can't," She growled and I glanced at her without turning my head. "Then I guess you're shit out of luck," I said, keeping my expression neutral even though I was smirking on the inside. "Why can't you leave the room instead?" She asked and I raised an eyebrow. "It's my room cub." Cub was a nickname I gave her back when we were toddlers and I still used it to this day even though we are in 8th grade now- well she's in 6th, I'm in 8th. "Why do you still call me that!" She groaned and I chuckled, looking back down at the math paper. "Cuz you're still younger than me and less mature," I answered and I felt her eyes burning into the side of my head.

"At least I don't go and- and- fuck the Renegade boy!" She snapped and I heard a small slap as she slapped her hand over her mouth. I tensed and dropped my pencil. "How do you know about that?" I asked and glanced at her, trying to control the rage I felt. She dropped her hand and crossed her arms, averting her eyes from mine.

"Margaret." Her eyes widened at me. I never called her by her actual name unless I was seriously pissed. She groaned softly and rolled her neck. "I may have heard you guys in the woods near our house..." she said, trailing off. I mentally slapped myself on the forehead for not getting Joshua to quiet down. I looked down at the math paper. "Why'd you use that against me?" I asked, almost a bit too quietly. "Cuz I think he's using you, Xav." I bit my lip. I didn't want to believe that he'd use me. "He's-" I started and looked away. "Why?" I muttered and I heard her get up off the chair and walk over to the edge of my bed that I was sitting on. "To get back at his parents maybe? I might be wrong, but you need to be careful around him." I don't know why but I just snapped and got up, shoving Maggie to the side gently and walking for the door. "Where are you going?" She asked, worried and I glared back at her. "That's none of your business."
