Outrunning Karma by a hair

Me and my little sister, Lindsey, stood, trapped at a dead end alley. The sound of police sirens getting closer by the second and Lindsey was starting to freak out as I looked around for a way of escape. "H-Hector," Lindsey whimpered, gripping her little butterfly knife tighter. I glanced down at her and huffed. I can't let us get caught or it's game over for us and the pasta's back home. I was an idiot to leave my scythe back at the mansion, it would've been so useful now. UGH fuck!

I looked around then noticed a fire escape with the ladder up. "Lindsey," I said and she hurried over. I picked her up and let her grab the ladder. Once she climbed up, she knocked the ladder down and I climbed up then pulled the ladder back up. "Hey! Stop right there!" I heard a police officer yell and the light of their flashlight lit up the alley, but Lindsey used her demon powers to shift the darkness over the light. "Hey!" They yelled again but we were already on the roof and running along the tops. "And we skip Karma yet again," Lindsey said and I rolled my eyes as I helped her over a gap then jumped over myself. "This is all gonna go to shit one day," I huffed and she glanced up at me. "And what then? What if we get caught?" She asked, almost too innocently and I can't lie to her. I sighed. "We don't say anything about the other pasta's, nothing. No matter what they do to us," I said firmly and she nodded.

(I know this was shitty, im not good at writing these type of situtations)
