The Uchiha Princess

.~Chapter - 10.~

Makaira had mixed feeling about joining the academy but she knew this was the time to make allies and form bonds, maybe, some friends. Makaira was up early and wanted to thank Sauke for taking care of her all this time so she made his favourite breakfast as a child and got ready as soon as she can. She was bouncing around with excitement, while Sasuke thought it was too early to be this excited but she reminded him of a bunny which caused him to snort out a laugh, to which Makaira gave him a look.

Makaira made sure that she had everything she needed with her, Sasuke made sure that she ate her breakfast amidst the excitement and not skip it. Sasuke took her hand and they were off to the academy, Makaira smirked. Sasuke is not a person who displays any kind of emotion but holding her hand so casually for people to see. She knew he was a little nervous as well but what could possibly go wrong?

How wrong she was when she could that. Here she stood, as a group of girls fought over who gets to sit with Sasuke while he just tugged her with him and made her sit beside him. When the girls saw their joined hands, all hell broke loose but before they could do anything Iruka entered the class and controlled the situation.

"Sasuke - Kun is mine!!!"

"How dare you touch him!!!"

"Get away from him you cow!!"

"Everyone!!! Settle down and behave yourself!! You are soon going to graduate and become genins' of this village. Is this how you are to behave?!!"

Makaira pitied the sensei as getting control over the situation was a whole different case. But once that was done, he asked Makaira to come forward.

"So we have a new student joining us? Can you please come forwards?"

Makaira took a deep breath and gave Sasuke a smile as he gave her hand a little squeeze as if to encourage her. "Let me handle it, okay?" She whispered. She walked at the front of the class and gave Iruka a bow to greet him respectfully as he was her sensei after all. Iruka almost cried at the sight of a student being so respectful towards him but he managed to keep his composure.

"Would you like to introduce yourself to your classmates? or would you like me to do that?"

"I'll do it" She gave him a nod. She turned towards everyone and gave them a smile, you could see a big portion of the male students looking at her with hearts on their eyes while most of the girls glared at her with hatred. She was expecting it, being an Uchiha, these things were told to you early on.

"Hello everyone! My name is Uchiha Makaira, I know it hard to believe but it's true. I hope you guys will accept me even if I'm joining late. I hope we can become friends" Her introduction was short but it was all she could think of at the moment. She was expecting some back answering and she was right. It was not long until one of the girls shouted.

"Sasuke - Kun is the only Uchiha! You're just lying to get close to him!!"

With the comment, whole new chaos began of shouting and throwing things began but before any could hurt her she simply deflected them with her sheathed katana. She shot Sasuke a look when she saw him twitch, she knew he was stopping himself from interfering but she also knew that he won't stop himself for long. Iruka got everyone to calm down and settle, Makaira simply stared at them and continued, " I am an Uchiha, I survived it as well. I understand that you have a hard time believing it but that is true. I truly hope we all get along" She just gave a tiny bow and smiled at Iruka before going back to her seat beside Sasuke who held her hand again and said, "Well done".

With that, the day began and now she understood why Sasuke didn't mind staying with her all-time with worrying about his studies because this was taught to her before she was even old enough to attend the academy, not that she got to go anyway. Now that she was here, she fell asleep and Sasuke just placed an open book standing in front of her so she won't get caught by Iruka. Sasuke sighed, knowing that now every nation would soon know about her and they will try to get their hands on her. He had to become stronger. His mind went back to his conversation with the Hokage.

Sasuke stood in front of the Hokage, he had summoned him to talk but Sasuke already knew the reason for the meeting.

'Sasuke, I would like to increase the security around your house for the time being as we both know what the truth about a female Uchiha surviving will bring to us. I have tried my best to keep the news hidden with me but it's time.'

'Is there anything specific i should look out for?"

'you don't have to worry, i will make sure that our Uchiha Princess is safe and sound. You both won't be separated just as you both requested. But it would also be better if you two stay close because we understand you won't have it any other way.'

'About the academy and future, I know she is above the academy level but it will be good for her to join the academy for some time. I'm just concerned about her not being able to train to her full potential'

Hokage chuckled at his concern, it was amusing to see an Uchiha be so caring towards people they love without giving a second thought about what others might think. 'Sasuke, let her be for now. She had lost her childhood but let her have this time, being carefree. Once you graduate, I'll see to it, she gets the training she needs. I give you my word'

'hn' was all he got, Hokage dismissed him and went out to look over the window.

Things are changing fast. For the good of everyone and this village, he had to keep the Uchihas' out of the darkness, and maybe, Makaira might be able to help him do that.

Just as the lunch break began, Sasuke shook Makaira awake to eat something. They went out to eat the lunch boxes they had prepared together. Makaira could sense the girls glaring at her but she knew that was given, she could only imagine what they would do if they found out, that she is not trying to steal their Sasuke - Kun, she is his wife. Lovely, she grumbled but laughed a little at the thought. Just to add fuel to the fire, She leaned towards Sasuke and peaked his cheek which made him shocked a little. She continued to eat but she could see the fan-girls.

'If looks could kill~'
