~.Chapter - 13.~

Sasuke paced around wondering what to do but then something clicked, he sighed and went to make dinner. Hokage said he has sent his best to get her back so she should be back soon. He decided to get her some ramen from Ichiraku since she went through enough for the day, the least he could do is, get her favourite food for her to make it a little better. He shrugged and grabbed his wallet and keys on his way out, locking the door behind him.

He walked towards the Ichiraku shop, he sensed someone watching him, only to find out that it was one of his fangirls. He rolled his eyes at them, he couldn't help but smirk when he wondered what kind of reactions he would see when everyone would find out that he's already married to Makaira. That would certainly be a sight to see. He got the ramen to go and head back home wanting to be there when she comes backs.

"Sasuke-kun!"

He halted and turned to see a fangirl, his face went to his usual blank stare. "What do you want?"

"W-well, I-I was wondering if you would like to hang out with me sometime? Having to be with that Makaira must be hard. It's such a nice thing you're doing helping out the weak girl. But you can let her be sometimes. You know" She started off unsure but gained confidence as she continued to speak.

"Don't ever speak about her like that again, understood?" Sasuke's eyes darkened.

"Bu-"

"Uchiha-San, Makaira is back! She asked me to deliver this message to you, "I'm alright, Sauske - kun, Hokage has asked me to meet him. I'll come home to you in 30 minutes. Ramen?" The ninja said the end of the message confused at the ending. Sasuke nodded at the ninja, dismissing him. The fangirl heard it all and couldn't help but feel rage towards the girl, how could she talk to Sasuke-kun like that! He deserves so much better than her. She decided that she will make her pay soon.

Sasuke jumped away, wanting to get home as soon as he can. He reached there in less than a minute, he wanted to prepare everything before she came back, he brought out the first aid kit just in case, set the table ready to eat, drew her a bath, he prepared for every possible situation and then dropped on the couch waiting for her to come back. Sasuke couldn't help but feel angry at himself for not being careful and alert, he should have noticed it and he should have been the one to save her.

"I'm home" He heard her soft voice just as he heard the sound of the door closing.

Sasuke rushed towards her voice, there she was looking beautiful as always with that smile she always gave him, his eyes went to the cut on her lips and the bandage around her shoulder and she was in a different outfit from the one she had on before. She smiled at him calmly and said, "I'm okay, Sasuke. I am, It's going to take a lot more to take me away from you. Hokage sent help just in time, I'll be good as new in no time."

Sasuke gently hugged her close to him, careful not to hurt her in any way. She rested her head on his shoulder sighing, finally feeling at home. Sasuke just held her, neither of them saying or moving until Makaira's stomach made a sound that would put whales to shame. Sasuke chuckled as Makaira tried to hide her face in his neck. "Come on! I have Ramen from Ichiraku for you!"

"Yay!" She jumped up as she ran towards the food. Sasuke couldn't help but laugh at the sight, he couldn't help but feel glad she came back to him safely and alright. It could have been way worse than just a few injuries. He followed her and sat down beside her today wanting to be close to her. Her face was lit up at the sight of her favourite ramen along with her favourite sweet dish, she was so happy that she squealed and kissed him on his cheek. She didn't notice as they started eating after thanking for the food, the blush that coated Sasuke's cheeks as he quietly ate his ramen, finally feeling at home with her here.
