The Uchiha Princess

~.Chapter - 16.~

Sasuke and Makaira decided to celebrate their graduation by going to Ichiraku!! It was Makaira's wish and neither of them felt like cooking. Makaira was very happy throughout the day but she did try to talk to Sasuke but he would brush it off changing the topic. She knew he'll talk about it when he's ready and she had a good idea what it would be about. She knows that he'll probably talk to her about it before they go to sleep cause he hates sleeping with too many things going on in his head.

The happiness Makaira had after seeing the ramen seemed contagious as Sasuke did appear to be in a better mood which she was thankful for. They enjoyed their ramen calmly as Makaira make a small conversation with the chef, praising his cooking as it was her favourite food in the whole world. "Congratulations on graduation from the academy both of you!! To celebrate this I'll make you two a take-away of your favourite ramen."

"Really?! Thanks, Mr. Chef" Makaira exclaimed.

Teuchi couldn't help but chuckle at his nickname that she had been calling him from the time she would come here with her big brother. He knew that she very well knew his name but enjoyed calling him, "Mr Chef" anyway, not that he minded. Makaira was a blessing of the Uchiha clan, he was sure that she would grow stronger and stronger and make the leaf proud. She would surpass Shishu one day and that's saying something. He has seen a lot in his time here and surely learned thing or two about judging people and he could see Makaira bringing happiness to a lot of people just because of how she is.

He remembers the day she got married to the boy sitting beside her, she had made the clan leader invite him as he was her favourite chef and she would marry Sasuke after having his ramen. He couldn't help but chuckle at that memory. Those were the good day before the tragedy that fell on them.

"So when is the orientation?"

"Tomorrow! I'm really excited to see who will be on my Sensei!!" Makaira said excitedly.

"Goodluck to you both!"

"hehe~" Makaira smiled scratching her cheek awkwardly. "Thanks"

As soon as they finished their food, they paid for their food and thanked him for the food and take away which Makaira was very happy about. She skips beside Sasuke humming happily alongside with him as he looked at her amused. He could still sense few of the fan group still following them but he was having a good time to even care. They should listen to her advice and focus on their training instead of stalking them.

Sasuke looked over Makaira who was cheerful as ever, his father may have never favoured him much but choosing Makaira for him was the best thing he had ever done for him. Having her in his life gave him happiness, she was his light that he'd return to when he finally takes his revenge. He wanted her to be with him but Sasuke knew she won't be able to do it, she loved Itachi like he once used to and she was never the one who could hold grudges, he knew that she would leave everything to be with him but Itachi will able be like her big brother to her since he helped after she lost Shishu so Sasuke decided that when he leaves for his revenge he'll ask her to wait for him because that way he'll have something to come back here to.

Sasuke wanted to keep her safe from the darkness because she still had her heart and his as well. He remembers the time she made him chocolates, he hates sweet but he couldn't say no to her when she would look at him with such cute face, waiting for him to take it. To his surprise she made those chocolates dark so it was not that sweet, he was surprised that she still remembered his likes and dislikes. When he asked her she was like, "Of course, i do, I'm your wife, silly. " After that incident, he made sure to learn about her likes and dislikes and all the little things because it's the least he can do for her.

Once they got home, Makaira said she would keep the food in the fridge while Sasuke made the bed. Makaira got ready for the bed which was basically stealing Sasuke's t-shirt and her loose shorts. Sasuke shook his head at her, he used to be confused by it cause she has her clothes yet she always takes his clothes, just why? He moved the curtains so they could see the night sky, they laid side-by-side looking at the sky like they do every night.

"Would you have still been with me if we were not married when we were kids?" Sasuke says breaking the silence. Makaira finally understood what was going on in his mind.

Makaira turned towards him taking both his hands making him turn as well. "Uchiha Sasuke, You may be my husband but you're forgetting you're my best friend as well. I would never leave you, silly. Married or not, I'm with you through thick and thin." She smiles at him.

"But would you have even thought of me in this manner? "

Makaira was confused for a second and blushed when it clicked but it also made her giggle because she never thought Sasuke would think of something like this! "Only if you would have asked me out" She beamed, clearly very proud of herself for the reply. Sasuke couldn't help but laugh as well, wondering why did he even doubt them. Makaira laid down beside him cuddling to him as they both just enjoyed the company of the other. After sometime Sasuke said, "So in that case, I know we are married but still, Would you like to be my girlfriend?" with blush covering his cheeks, hearing no reply he looks down to see Makaira sleeping peacefully. He sweatdropped at the sleeping girl who was cuddling into him but held her close nonetheless and after sometimes drifted into sleep as well.
