Black's Pov
"Coy, you sure about this? You don't have to if you don't want to. Don't feel pressured." I asked him, hands on his shoulders, looking into his determined eyes.
"I want to. It's okay." He replied with a smile, I rolled my eyes with small a toothy grin.

It had been a couple weeks since everything had happened, with Ralph's "brain"washing and Abyss staying with Lilith. Wentworth has finally stopped with his angry act towards Coyote, despite still not feeling amazing about the entire situation. Luckily Ebony managed to talk him into being on civil terms with Coy.

I finally realised that we couldn't just keep Abyss with Lilith forever. She needed closure with us too. Yet the only person I know that may talk to her without a fight potentially breaking out, is Coyote.

Of course, Coyote was warm to the idea. But I didn't want it to be that way- as if he were visiting a friend. He needed to be more professional about it- like the second in command he's "meant" to be. After all, Abyss was powerful- enough to make Ralph be able to take me down.

That could be threatening if her brainwashing got into the wrong hands.

I felt a hand tap me in the back, I spun around to see Ebony in front of me, a concerned glance plastered upon her visage. I levitated up to her height and put a hand on her cheek
"Please be safe.. I know how strong Lilith is, along with Abyss.. Who knows what they've been talking about." She kisses me quickly "Oh! But if a fight breaks out.."
Her concern instantly shatters as she gives me a smirk "Don't be afraid to call for me.. Since I'm badass as FUCK."
I rolled my eyes and gave her a hug "Very true Girlie. See you soon, yeah?"
"Definitely."
I turned to Coyote "Ready to go?"
"I have been the entire time.."
I rolled my eyes as I looked back to Ebony "Take care of everything whilst I'm gone.. Sorry if stuff pops up."
"Great- basically you're loading me with your paperwork?"
I laughed as I blew her a kiss and gave a quick "Yup!" Then putting a hand on Coyote's shoulder, teleporting us to Lilith's location.

"Oh aren't I honoured? My dear cousin has come for a visit."
Coyote was stood in front of Lilith- waving his arms in front of her, as if he wanted her to acknowledge his existence.
"Oh right- and you."
"I HAVE A NAME." He raises his voice at Lilith, having to look up to her- due to her height.
"God. I forget how annoying your brigade is. And you're all short except from Ebony."
I rolled my eyes "Excuse me, you're just insanely tall, like jeez, lucifer gave you height."
"I'm 6"5.. or I was when I last checked. Anyway. Why are you guys even here?"
"Erm-" Coyote seemed as though he was trying to bring up the obvious, when he saw Abyss poke her head from behind a curtain in the opposite end of the room.

"Oh.. Hello Coyote." She looked in my direction with a small scowl "Black Onyx."
Coyote hopped over to her as if she were a childhood friend- to which she gave the confused face I saw multiple times when Coyote was previously telling me to trust her.
"Hey Abyss! How's staying with Lilith being?"
"Let's talk behind here.." she drags him behind the curtain, out of my sight. I look to Lilith with a hint of worry. To which she gave me a small smile.
"Don't worry so much. She just doesn't want you to hear anything. Not me evidently."
"I gathered.. I wonder why she called me by my entire name, it's kinda-"
Lilith interrupted me "She doesn't like you dumbass."
I raised an eyebrow "Jeez, what did I do that Coyote didn't? He fought her whereas I didn't.."
She sighed "You defied all logic as per usual. For example, you were *this close*-" she gestures, "to dying, yet you got saved. And now, you're back to full power again, whereas she's still weakened."
"That's hardly my fault. It's not my fault she's half angel and can't just renew her energy quickly and efficiently. Sometimes it's a flaw of being-"
"A hybrid. I know.. I am one dickhead."
"Can you stop cutting me off already?!"
"Jesus you always think you're so entitled." She mumbled, crossing her arms.

"Lilith.. I don't want to seem that way. I want to at least try and repair us.. We're family!"
"Repair?" She laughs "There's nothing to repair in the first place.. Ever since you were a child you had a noticeable dislike. But obviously we fell even more when-" she paused "Things happened."
"I only remember disliking you because you always wanted to kill humans.."
She looked down at me, one of her eyes going fully red, with a shout "WHAT DO YOU EXPECT?! I'M HALF GHOUL- I LITERALLY HAVE TO DRINK THEIR BLOOD FOR MY SURVIVAL, BUT IT WAS NEVER ENOUGH TO MAKE ME AS STRONG AS I NEEDED TO BE." She laughed almost as if my ignorance were funny "JUST BECAUSE WE'RE NOT ALL PURE DEMON LIKE YOU, A PERFECT SPECIMEN."
Her eye went back to its original colour "I'm sorry I'm not as perfect as you Black. Perfect powers, a perfect relationship, a perfect appearance with so many friends and supporters."
I stood there speechless, I looked up to her face.

Tears.

"Lilith.."
"Don't start with the speech. I know you will.. You do every time anyone says something in opposition to your excellence." She spat, tears still falling to the ground.
"I.. I'm sorry Lilith."
"No.. You're not."
"But I am!"
"Not."
"Am!"
"Not."
"LISTEN TO ME!" I shouted, shaking her shoulders, looking up into her eyes "I envied you so much as a kid- do you know how much I looked up to you.. Your strength- you tell me all the time how you're not as strong as me- yet you can easily get me to the floor, hurt me. You are a passionate person- whether you use that for good, or not." I stuttered out "You.. You're the ONLY PERSON who got me out of my outrage. YOU SNAPPED ME OUT OF IT!"
She sighed, and held her hands out in front of her, looking at her palms.
"I've always hated you. You so easily fit the criteria for ruling, you're what my dad- Lucifer wanted. Unknowing to him you were unstable, a wreck with your powers.. And impulsive." She looked at me "Yet there was something about you- it told me I needed to be close to you- that it was my only way of being powerful. So I wanted to crush it, show people that someone like me could be stronger, better for the underworld.. Yet of course you grew stronger, and exceeded every expectation anyone had for you. But you fled as soon as you created conflict with me. That's what pissed me off. Almost as much as when she passed. Which I guess wasn't fully your fault."
