"Uh..hello heather?" Everett said waving her hands in my face.
It was a typical day in Geography. It was a bullshit class with a bullshit teacher, but the A was going to look good on my transcript so I happily did the stupid assignments. I had one more week left of the class and I was more than ready for summer.
"Sorry. I did it again didn't I? What were you saying?" I apologized.
"I was trying to tell you that Ashton fucking Irwin invited me to his party tonight!!" Everett blurted while squirming in her seat. She had a small crush on him since I could remember and the small looks he gave her in the hall hinted that he actually recognized her existence. Everett and I are basically the same person, expect when it comes to Michael and his friends. I think they are a total waste of space, but if you were to ask her you'd probably just see her drool.
"And why do I care?" I stated plainly.
"Look, I don't give a fuck if you like them or not, but I can't do this alone. You don't have an option. I'll pick you up at six." She said throwing her brown hair over her shoulder as she gathered her things and left the room.
I huffed knowing that I had no choice and quickly made my way out to my car doing my best to avoid conversation from anyone I walked past. I speed home a little faster than normal and immediately walked to my closet. I started pulling clothes off the hanger and trying them on, when I realized what I was doing. Since when did I care what I wore or what I looked like?
Parties stressed me out and it definitely wasn't a scene I fit comfortably into. I looked at the clock that read 5:00. It had been two hours since I had been home and all I had done was stare at the ceiling. I sat up when I heard Everett's car come up the driveway.
"Shit" I whispered under my breath. I wasn't sure if I could handle this.
"Sup bitch, we have an hour to make you look hot" Everett said as she threw open my door.
