Breathe in. Breathe out. Breathe in. Breathe out.

My shaky hands gripped the handrail as we approached the small door at the end of the walkway.

"Babe. It's just an airplane." Michael's hand rested on my lower back, lightly pushing me along.

"Seriously. If we go any slower we aren't going to make it on the plane at all." Calum stood in front of us with his arms crossed over his chest. Luke punched his arm, while I ignored his comment.

"Ash and Everett are already on. I'll just see you guys in there." Luke smiled politely and dragged Calum along with him.

I looked up at Michael who tried his best to smile. I could tell he was somewhat annoyed and worried. I took the biggest breath possible before speed walking onto the plane.

Trapped. I felt trapped. Boxed inside this massive airplane, I began to panic. Michael spun me around and looked into my eyes.

"Just close your eyes and I will lead you to your seat." I did as I was told and gripped his hand tightly. When he told me to open them I was seated in row K seat 3. Michael took the window seat and I was beyond relieved. Ashton and Everett smiled at me from the seats behind me and Calum was already asleep in the row across from them. Luke was seated by a young girl in a pink dress.

"I'm Lily and I'm five. My mom says I'm a big girl. She also says not to talk to strangers. What's your name?" She turned her small head up at Luke.

"I'm Luke." He rested his hand on his chin, clearly uncomfortable.

"Are you punk rock or something?" Lily motioned towards Luke's lip ring.

Their conversation was drowned out by the sound of the airplane engine starting. I began hyperventilating and Michael quickly closed every window shade in sight.

"Shh. Shh. Just talk to me. Distract yourself." Michael put his arm around me and I leaned into him.

"Uhhh. Umm." I couldn't think of anything to say. All I could focus on was the flight attendant in the front explaining safety precautions.

"Where'd you get this scar?" Michael's cold fingers ran up and down the disfigured skin on my arm.

"When I was 8 I tried to climb this tree in my back yard with my neighbor Marisa. We were pretending to be birds and I wouldn't let her be the baby bird so she pushed me out of the tree. On the way down I got this." I placed my hand over his. I looked up at him and admired the smile on his face. I realized he was smiling because his distraction worked, we were already in the air and I didn't even notice.

The flight attendant walked up and down the isle handing out sodas and snacks.

"Can I get you anything?" She smiled down at Calum in his seat.

"Yes, but it's not on that cart." He winked at her and she blushed a deep shade of red.

A few moments later, Michael was sleeping softly, his head rested against the window. I looked around the cabin for other distractions. I turned to were Luke was sitting and found Lily asleep on his arm. He shrugged at me before closing his own eyes, attempting to sleep.

"If only there weren't all of these people on the plane." I saw Ashton smirk at Everett through the space between the seat. He connected their lips and kissed her hard. They looked so natural together, their bodies were always so in sync.

"I'd like to get to Florida without watching the two of you have babies in front of me." An elderly lady in a purple jumpsuit yelled towards Ashton. Shocked, they both turned their heads in her direction.

"No promises." Ashton didn't break eye contact with the lady. Everett blushed intensely and dropped her drink in her lap.

"Crap! I'll be back." Everett stood from her seat and scurried to the small bathroom at the end of the isle.

About 10 minutes later the line outside of the bathroom continued to lengthen, and, coincidentally, Ashton wasn't in his seat. Not thinking anything of it, I shoved ear phones into my ears and watched the movie that played on the screen attached to the seat in front of me.

I don't realize I had fallen asleep until Michael shook me awake.

"How long have I been asleep?" I rubbed my stiff neck.

"Like a few minutes, but where's Ash?" He looked around the plane. Just then, the bathroom door opened and Ashton filled out, Everett following closely behind. They both look flustered and Everett was panting, trying to catch her breath. She avoided my gaze as she sat down. Michael high-fived Ashton as I shook my head laughing.

"We are approaching our destination. Prepare for landing." The captions voice carried throughout the plane. I gripped the arm rest and turned to Michael.

"Your turn to talk." He grinned and shook his head.

"Every summer since I could remember, I would stay with my grandpa. The year I turned ten he finally taught me to play his guitar. He was so good at it. He was a natural. His fingers strummed the strings like they were made to. I was awful, but I practiced so much that my fingers would bleed. It was the first time that I was really passionate about something." His eyes lit up as he talked and I smiled widely. With each story, I felt closer and closer to Michael.

"We're here." He nodded his head to passengers filling out of the door. I planted a quick kiss on his lips before standing up. He stood up, surprised, and pulled me back into him, connecting our lips again.

"You have no idea how happy I am to be here with you." I whispered.
