Monday's always sucked for me. It was like everything in the world was destined to go wrong at the beginning of the week. The Monday after the party was no different. I woke up late to an unplugged alarm clock. I remembered Everett unplugged it to charge her phone, and after that night my alarm clock was the last thing on my mind.

I sluggishly dragged myself out of bed and put on a pair of jeans and a sweat shirt, while throwing my hair in a ponytail. I had no motivation to make myself look good, and besides who did I need to impress?

By the time I made it to school it was third period, chemistry, which I had with Michael and Ashton. I prayed that they weren't at school as I opened the door. Luckily class hadn't started, so I was saved from all of the awkward stares I would've received If I would have come in late. I took my normal seat in the front and avoided making eye contact with anyone.

I twirled the pencil in my hands as my chemistry teacher blabbed on and on about elements and charges. Michael and Ashton came in just as the lecture began and they took the only two seats left, the ones behind me. I sighed and tried not to listen to their conversation, but I couldn't help but pick up on things that they said.

"So you know that girl I left with on Friday?" Ashton asked while banging his pencil on his desk.

"Yeah. What about her?" Michael responded but clearly seamed uninterested.

"Well, I mean, at first I just thought she was hot, but now I think I actually like her." He stopped drumming on his desk and smiled at Michael.

"Did you hit it?" Michael yawned.

"What? No. Did you not hear me? I said I actually like her." Ashton tried to explain.

"Well I met a girl in Friday too." Michael said, and I swear I could feel him looking at the back of my head.

"Not surprised. You meet girls all the time." Ashton stated. His words knocked down what confidence I had before I reminded myself that I didn't like him anyway.

"The problem is I don't think she wants me." Michael laughed lightly.

"What? When's the last time a girl turned YOU down?" Ashton seemed stunned.

"Idk man, but it just became my next challenge." He said throwing his feet on the back of my chair.

I felt the anger immediately rise to my cheeks, but it was soon replaced with a stupid blush. He had almost said he liked me and for some reason my body responded accordingly. I hated him, and I just needed a good reminder. I twirled around in my seat and pushed his shoes off of my chair while half smiling at Ashton. I was still kind of mad at Everett but at least she ended up with a good guy.

"Oh sorry...uh...what's your name?" Michael smirked.

"Very funny. You know it's Heather." I said rolling my eyes.

"Well then sorry Heather." He make his fingers into air quotes when he said my name. Before I could respond the bell rang and I was the first one out of the room.

As I walked to my next class I prepared myself for what I was going to have to deal with. Michael, of course, was in my physics class and I was hoping that since his friends weren't in it, he wouldn't feel the need to mess with me.

I got to class a little too early and decided to sit in the back away from where Michael normally sits. I pulled paper and a pencil out of my bag and began drawing on the desk to distract myself. I must have been to distracted ,though, because I didn't notice the red headed boy sitting beside me.

"You are everywhere aren't you?" I asked.

"Yep. Whatcha drawing?" He smiled.

"What do you want?" I looked back down at my desk avoiding his green eyes.

"I think you forgot who drove you home the other night" he said leaning back in his chair.

"Shutup. I don't want people to know that I willingly went somewhere with you." I turned to see if anyone heard us.

"Willingly? So you wanted to?" He smirked and crossed his arms.

"What? No! Just...I meant that.."

"I know what you meant" he cut me off before getting up and moving seats.

Everett rushed into the room just before the bell rang. She took her normal seat next to me and set her stuff down.
"Where were you? You're never this late?" I asked her.

"Well...I was uh with Ashton." She blushed.

"Ahh so your Ash's girl." Michael interpreted. I had no idea he was listening to our conversation, or why he was even interested in the first place.

"What? Did he say something to you?" Her eyes lit up when she said his name.

"Maybe." Michael said biting his lip before turning around.

The rest of class was slow, probably because it was the last class before lunch. I was more than ready for this class to be over with so I wouldn't have to see Michael anymore.

As everyone walked out of the room Everett told me she'd meet me at lunch before turning in her heals and leaving. I put my things in my bag as fast as I could before slinging my book bag over my shoulder. I must have forgotten to zip it, because my books fell to the floor with a loud bang. I sighed, knowing this horrible Monday wasn't close to being over with.

I started ramming all the scattered items into my bag when two black boots appeared before me. Michael bent down and started picking up the things that I had dropped.

"What do you want now?" I questioned.

"Come with me." He said putting my bag on his arm. I followed, but only because he had my stuff.

"Where are we going?" I asked as we passed the cafeteria.

"Are you ever quiet?" He asked. He was much taller than I was and I struggled to keep up with him. He lead me through the gym doors and out to the parking lot, where his red Porsche was parked.

"Get in." He demanded while throwing my bag in the back seat.

"Are you crazy? We can't just leave school. I can't miss class. Do you know how much work I'll have to catch up on?" I rambled.

"I didn't ask." He raised his eyebrows and opened the passenger door. I looked around to see if anyone saw us before taking my hair out of the ponytail. I took a deep breath and made my way towards his car.
