It was just starting to get dark, but red solo cups already littered the perfectly manicured lawn and half drunk teenagers were crowding the front porch.

"This place is huge" I said elbowing Everette,"Who gave you his address?"

"Well, uh, I kinda already knew where
he lived" she blushed uncontrollably and gave me a look that suggested she'd kick me if I said anything else.

It took us a minute to push through the crowd clogging the door and the music grew louder as we walked farther into the house. I had never been to one of these parties, and I was surprised that Ashton knew this many people.

"Oh my god there he is" Everett said motioning to the kitchen. The boys all stood next to the granite countertop, taking shots and throwing their heads back in laughter.

"Wow look who lost there chill" I laughed.
"Stop talking and find us drinks" she ordered.
I assumed the place to find those would be the kitchen, but while walking through the living room I found kegs in every corner. I filled two red cups with the foamy liquid and fought my way through the crowd once again.
When I finally made it back to the bottom of the stairs Everett and I were standing at ,I found Ashton with his arm around her. I quickly turned back around and she gave me a thankful look.
Everett was occupied and I was left alone at party full of strangers. I turned down the first hallway I could find, pushing past couples. As the hallway came to an end, I stood against the wall. Calum and Luke left the room at the end of the hall following a girl in a pink mini skirt names Chloe. With two bears still in hand, I peered in the room they had just left, hoping it'd be a quiet place for me to escape from the party.

Much to my surprise, the room was empty and I gratefully entered. A large, king sized bed sat in the center of the room and I seated myself at the foot of it. I pulled my phone out and texted my mom to tell her I was studying tonight like usual and that I was going to stay the night with Everett. I sighed as I took small sips of what I thought was beer. My thoughts raced as the alcohol pumped through my veins.

The bathroom connected to the room opened causing me to jump and spill beer on my white shirt.
"Fuck" I mumbled. A drunken giggle escaped from the boy standing in the door way.
As I looked up the color drained from my face. Michael Clifford stood in the bathroom doorway staring at my beer covered shirt.

"Someone's got a fucking potty mouth" Michael said tugging at his red hair. Before I could reply he reached for the other beer in my hand, which I didn't deny him. He chugged it like it was nothing before throwing the cup behind him.

"Aren't you gonna throw that in the trash?" I rolled my eyes.

"Woah hahah who are you?" He slurred .

"Well, asshole, we've been going to the same school since god knows how long and we have three classes together. You don't know me but unfortunately I know you" I spat.

"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" He said furrowing his eyebrows .

"Can you just get out of the bathroom? I spilled beer on my shirt" I said pushing past him. A surprising amount of what I thought was concern filled his eyes as he made his way towards the dresser and pulled out a plain gray v-neck.
"Here, put this on" He said throwing the shirt at me.

"Can you close the door? I'm not going to change in front of you" I said trying to close the door.

"Trust me honey, not even this much beer could make you attractive" he smirked while stopping the door with his foot. My cheeks burned with embarrassment and anger.

"You can keep your shirt, dick" I said storming out of the room.

I walked down the hall and back through the living room searching for Everett, when I spotted Luke standing against the front door.

"Have you seen Everett?" I questioned.

"Who?" He asked, pulling his lip ring between his teeth.

"Ugh I mean have you seen Ashton" I blushed realizing he had no clue who I was.

"Oh yeah. He took some girl home like 10 minutes ago" He explained before turning his back and walking towards the stairs. I angrily walked through the front door and out onto the yard. I searched for someone that I knew that would give me a ride, not that any of those drunk idiots could drive anyways. I quickly gave up my search and decided I was going to walk home.
