I twisted the keys into Everett's ignition and sped over to the Starbucks I promised Matt that I would meet him at. As I pulled into the parking lot I could see Matt's car already parked in front. I took a deep breath before parking the car and walking inside.

I spotted Matt's blonde hair and friendly face in the corner. As I approached the table I noticed that he had already ordered our drinks.
"Sorry I'm late...I kinda got held up" I apologized.

"Oh and I forgot all of my stuff" I said looking at the black tile floor.

"It's no big deal! I got you a drink." He said pushing the cup towards me, "just let me go to the bathroom first and then we can start" he said flashing me a smile.

I took a few sips of my coffee as I waited for Matt to return. My phone began ringing and the people who were seated near me stared. I gave them apologetic smiles before silencing my phone. I had four texts from an unknown number.

Curiously I opened them and they read "Sup loser.","Hows being a nerd working out for you?", "That Matt dude is a waste of time.", and "You actually kinda looked alright in a sweatshirt." I laughed, knowing it was Michael who was trying to ruin this study thing with Matt, just like he seems to ruin everything else.

I quickly replied with "Sorry babe. Not everyone wants to waste all of their time on you. And was that almost a compliment?"

I put my phone down when I saw Matt coming back and tried to focus on studying, but I couldn't get that red haired idiot out of my mind. Matt frowned when he caught me looking at my phone before he made up some lame excuse about his grandma and left.

"Coffee?" I texted Michael. A few minutes later I saw his red Porsche pull up, and Everett got out with him. I walked out to the parking lot to meet them.
"Hey. Ashton had to go do something and Michael said he'd take you home. Can I have my keys?" She asked. I handed them to her and she leaned over and whispered "I'm going to need all the details later" she said winking at me before turning and walking to her car.

"Sooo..." I said turning to Michael.

"Do I look like I drink coffee?" Michael asked. "Come on I'll just take you home already." He walked to his car and unlocked the door. His moods towards me switched much more often lately and his strange behavior left me confused.

After riding silently I looked at Michael and observed how fiery his hair really was, and the way he bit his lip when he was thinking about something.

"What are you looking at?" He spat. I blushed realizing he caught me staring at him.

"Why do you do that?" I questioned.

"Do what?" He seemed bothered.

"Why do you act sweet to me and then turn into a total asshole? It makes no sense and I'm starting to wonder if all that hair dye is getting to you." I yelled. He looked completely shocked my my words, but his expression quickly became hard again.

"Awe did someone get their feelings hurt?"Michael stuck out his bottom lip. I crossed my arms over my chest and tried to ignore the stupid smile on his face.

"I know your car is still at school because I made you leave early with me, so I'll be here at 6:30 to pick you up." He explained as he put the car in park in front of my house. I shut the door to his car as I nodded my head.

When I walked into the house I was greeted by my very confused parents. I just told them it was Matt's who dropped me off before climbing the stairs to my bedroom. It didn't take long before I fell asleep.

I awoke in the middle of the night to my buzzing phone. I squinted to read the text that said "whatcha doing?"

Annoyed, I replied with "Well I was sleeping." I had no clue why Michael felt the need to text me at 2 am.

"Oh sorry "heather" (;" He replied instantly. I rolled my eyes at the same statement he made earlier that day at school and I turned off my phone. My eyes grew heavy but sleep didn't seem to be an option as unwanted thoughts of Michael filled my head.
