The morning after she refused to get up from her bed.
The ceiling looked very weird from that angle. Her imagination took the best of the girl as she envisioned herself walking on it, as if it was the floor. Hermione was surely awake, but had no intention of actually standing.
She couldn't go to class.
Couldn't risk seeing him.
or worse her.
Hermione had to do something. She had to see the headmaster and inform her about the situation. About what had happened the night before.
She also needed proof. Parkinson wasn't certainly the type of girl that gave up so fast and her rich father would've done anything to make her stay in Hogwarts. The Gryffindor had no intention of suing her or going to court, she thought an expulsion would be enough and she was willing to make it happen.
~ the faster the better ~
Unfortunately she was also pretty sure that if she didn't take any action, Malfoy wasn't going to raise a finger against the Slytherin because of the proximity of their families. Frankly, even if he did, no one would have believed him anyways.
What could the best solution be? She thought stealing Veritaserum from professor Slughorn's personal reserve would be the best answer. Furthermore, in case that didn't work, she decided she would've just started crying on the spot, in order for McGonagall to see her memories
Although...
Her eyes widened. Maybe that wasn't the best idea.
"Hermione?"
Ginny called her from the bathroom. She quickly turned around and acted as if she was still asleep. The redhead sighed and sat next to her while brushing her hair
"You know you eventually need to stand up and go to class, right?"
Granger reluctantly mumbled her response. In the last few days she had been acting really weird and her roommate had noticed it
"Look I don't know what's up with you in these last days but-"
She caressed her arm. Just then Potter's girlfriend slightly smiled at her, she smiled back opening her eyes
"I'm here if you wanna talk, okay? You know that"
A light chuckle escaped her lips
"I know it damn well"
"Now come on!"
The weasel girl unexpectedly grabbed a pillow and hit her right in the face
"Ow! That hurt"
She continued hitting her
"Get your bookworm ass up and let's go to class!"
Hermione was trying to defend herself with her arms, but somehow Ginny managed to hit her regardless. She considered arguing for a moment but then remembered potions class was her first period.
"Uh, ok, ok fine!"
At last the golden girl surrendered
"Now please put that thing down"
With a reluctant expression, the girl obeyed. She got up and put on her robe, then looked at herself in the mirror for a minute too long. Hermione attentively studied her features and wondered if the boy she was into thought she was attractive. He had of course kissed her, but also had never said anything about her physical appearance.
She shook her head. Granger had far more important things to do than concentrate on the blonde's opinion of her.
The brunette had been clear with the Slytherin and she was absolutely willing to stop whatever they had going on if he had no intention of being serious about it, hiding it or worse, acting as if nothing ever happened.
