In that moment Hermione realized she had melted the icy barrier of Draco Malfoy. In that moment the boy would have wanted to kiss her and to tell her they would have stayed together, no matter what, no matter the insults, no matter their families, but he couldn't.
After his father had threatened Hermione of death, his words continuously resorted in Draco's mind
He was risking her life even in that exact moment, and he couldn't let her lose her life for him... they had survived the war with just scars, the death-eater tattoo and the mud-blood phrase written on Hermione's skin by Draco's aunt Bellatrix
