"Tell me, if a person falls apart alone in the dark, does it make a sound? And if it does make a sound, is it as loud and devastating as a decaying broken heart when it is finally found? Taehyung reads the poem out loud to himself, he smiles as he flips the page and begins to read the next poem.

"Hey Tae." Jimin says as he walks into their room and sits down next to him. "Hey." The younger says absentmindedly as he is still focused on the poem he is reading. "Read it to me?" Jimin asks knowing how much Taehyung loves poem. And to have Taehyung reading one out loud makes them both happy.

"I want to thank you, for being the love I needed when I thought I didn't need love. It changed me. It softened me. And even though I didn't know at the time, it saved me. JmStorm." Taehyung says. "It's true Jimin, thank you for being there for me." He adds. "Of course Taehyung, you're my best friend and my mate." He says and kisses the Omega's forehead.

Taehyung loves Jimin with all of his heart. He is the younger's best friend and mate even though they aren't soulmates. The two wolves agreed to go their separate ways once they find their soulmates or 'Truemates' as the government likes to call them. Jimin and Taehyung have only marked each other, they haven't had sex or even a kiss on the lips. Just platonic kisses on the cheek and forehead.

Both of them don't love each the way mates are supposed to though they do put up a good act. They only mated so Taehyung didn't have to suffer the consequences of being the only Male Omega in that pack. Taehyung will forever be grateful for Jimin and everything the Alpha has done for him.

"What did you do today?" Taehyung asks and Jimin smiles while he stretches. "Nothing much really. I helped my dad patrol the borders, worked with some of the new wolves and yeah that's about it. What about you, what did you do today?" Jimin says and Taehyung closes the book so he can properly talk to Jimin. "I cleaned house, folded clothes, and tried a new recipe. It turned out okay though I'm pretty sure the more I cook it the better it will get. The leftovers are in the fridge." Taehyung explains and Jimin chuckles. "Seems like you had a busy day." The Alpha comments and Taehyung chuckles. "No not really. I didn't take long to clean since we really don't make a mess."

"Gotcha, well I'm going to take a shower. Have fun." Jimin says pointing towards the book in Taehyung's lap before getting up and grabbing some clothes. "Oh I will." Taehyung replies and Jimin laughs. "You and those damn poems." The Alpha teases and Taehyung rolls his eyes. "Take your shower, you stink." Taehyung teases back as he pinches his nose and makes a face of disgusting.

Jimin makes his way to the bathroom as Taehyung opens the book and finds the page he was once on.

"Earth to Taehyung." Jimin says as he places a hand on top of the page Taehyung was reading. It draws the younger out from the trance he gets every time he reads. Taehyung looks up to see that Jimin is completely dressed in his nightwear though he does have a towel around his neck to catch the droplets of water that fall from his hair. "Oh sorry, it's the poems." Taehyung mutters and Jimin chuckles. "Oh I know. Once you start reading the poems your mind disappears to another place." Jimin says and Taehyung chuckles. "I can't help it!" The younger cries.

"Yeah yeah, anyways I just wanted to tell you that you can take a shower now if you want." The Alpha says and Taehyung smiles. "Oh okay! Thank you I really do need to take a shower." Taehyung says as he stands up. "Okay, well I'm going to cook the rest of the leftovers." Jimin says. "Okay, enjoy." Taehyung says as he goes to the dresser and grabs some clothes to take his shower.

{Later}

Taehyung turns his head and the pillow as well as he looks at Jimin. The said Alpha is taking out his contacts and replacing them with glasses before grabbing a comic book and settling down to read. "Tae, you are drilling holes into the my side, what's up?" Jimin asks as he opens up the book. Taehyung turns and lays on his back. "Do you think we'll ever find our mates?" He asks then looks at Jimin who sighs and sets the comic book down before taking off his glasses. "I hope so, but I honestly don't know. Why? What's up?" Jimin says.

"We've been marked for a few years now, and yet we still haven't even shared a kiss. Yeah I know we are waiting on our mates but we put up such a believable act that we are so in love. Chim, I honestly don't think we are going to find our mates, I really don't so how about we stop acting like we are in love and actually give it a try." Taehyung explains and Jimin gives him a soft smile. "You have a really good point. I don't think we will either Taehyung, but I agree we need to stop acting. Though I don't want to get attached to you being my mate because I've always wanted my soulmate." Jimin says and Taehyung smiles. "I understand, as an Omega that's been my dream. Ya know finding my soulmate, and I guess riding off into the sunset with them." Taehyung says causing both of them to chuckle.

"Why don't we give it another month, yeah? If we don't find them during that time then we will fully break off that bond and focus on us." Jimin says and Taehyung smiles. "Okay, but you are still taking me out for lunch tomorrow." Taehyung demands. "Sir yes sir." Jimin says and gives Taehyung a salute causing the younger to laugh. "You are such a crackhead."
