"I'm back." Yoongi states as he walks down the stairs, though he freezes once he sees three sets of eyes on him.
Jungkook quickly pulls Taehyung away from Jimin and behind him as he grabs onto the Alpha, preventing him from going to Yoongi. "Jungkook let go of me!" The elder Alpha snarls, not liking that the younger is keeping him from his mate. "Jimin calm down." The Purebred grunts, as he struggles with keeping Jimin contained. "Let me go!"
"Jimin, listen, we aren't trying to keep you away from your mate, but please calm down, your eyes are red and he is already injured. We know you won't do anything, but please let him come to you." Taehyung says watching as his best friend relaxes into the Purebreds' hold, his eyes changing back to their original dark brown. The young Omega looks back at Yoongi, gesturing for the elder Omega to come closer.
He can see the slight fear in him. The way his body is trembling softly. Taehyung knows Yoongi has not had a great history with Alphas. "It's okay Hyung." The young Omega says. Holding his hand out for the elder to take it. Taehyung gives Yoongi a soft smile once he feels the soft trembling hand in his. "Jimin won't hurt you. I promise. He has been waiting for you for a while."
Yoongi smiles at the younger's words, he watches as Jimin helplessly awaits for some kind of acceptance or rejection. "Jungkook, you can let him go." The elder Omega states. The Purebred looks at his mate for confirmation before letting him go once he gets a nod. He stands behind the other Alpha, ready to bring him into a grip at any second.
Yoongi takes his hand out of Taehyung's, bringing it up to the Alpha before resting it on his bicep. "I've been waiting for him too." He says softly, sending a soft smile towards him. Jimin slowly raises his hand, softly resting it on Yoongi's. He smiles, feeling the soft tingly sensation that runs through his hand and up his arm. He feels calm, a type of calm he has never felt before, a sense of being okay, a sense of belonging.
"Jungkook and I will give you two some privacy." Taehyung states as he slowly backs away from the two. He motions Jungkook to follow him, the Alpha not sure if he should stay and protect Yoongi or follow his mate. "Jungkook, it's okay." Taehyung says through the mind link, the elder finally budging from his spot and making his way to his mate.
The two make their way into the Alpha's office, Taehyung closing the door softly. "That was...that was unexpected." Jungkook says as he leans against his desk. "Very much so." The young Omega says softly as he crosses the distance from the door to his mate. He stands in front of the elder, his arms crossed as he looks down. "Tae, what's wrong?" The Alpha asks. "I'm sorry." He utters, his voice cracking a bit.
"Sorry for what baby? You haven't done anything." Jungkook states. "Yes I have! Jungkook, you brought home Neutralizers because of me! You have to stop your Rut because of me! All because I wasn't strong enough to keep our pup alive. It's my fault, I took that happiness away from you, and I'm pissed that you aren't mad at me about it because it was my fault! I was too stubborn to leave and look at what that cost us." Taehyung exclaims, his body trembling as tears stream down his face. His honey vanilla scent smelling a bit burnt as his distress started to fill the room.
"Taehyung, how could I be mad about something that wasn't your fault? They would've killed our pup either way. Even if I had convinced you to leave the ceremony. Baby what if they would have caught you alone? What if they would have done something else to you? As bad as this sounds, I am glad it happened at the ceremony, because I do not want to think about what they could have done." Jungkook starts, he softly grabs Taehyung's face, wiping away the tears that stream down his cheeks. "As for my Rut, Jin told me that just because I'm showing PreRut symptoms, it doesn't mean I'll actually go into one, and if I'm being honest, I would rather mess up my body than hurt you."
Taehyung bites his bottom lip as he tries to stop the sob from escaping his mouth. His breath is shaky and uneven as he wraps his arms around Jungkook's waist, burying his face into his chest. "I'm so sorry!" He sobs out not being able to hold it back anymore. "Shh it's okay Pup. It's okay." The Alpha says softly as he runs his fingers through Taehyung's hair, kissing the crown of his head softly. "I don't deserve you. I really don't." The younger one admits. "No Tae, you deserve it all."
{Later}
"Alright, I think that settles everything." Jungkook says as he leans back in his office chair, tossing the pen in his hand onto the desk. It is currently 12:30 in the morning, and the two Alphas have finished any last minute things for the mating season next week. "I'll pay you and Taehyung back for the tickets and the Airbnb." Jimin states. "Eh don't worry about it. Taehyung wouldn't accept it and neither would it."
"How is everything going?" Jimin asks. "It's...it's going." Jungkook replies, causing Jimin to chuckle a bit at the answer. "I feel that one." The elder Alpha states.
"Taehyung told me about the argument." Jimin starts, Jungkook sighs as he looks down ready for some type of lecture from the elder Alpha. "I understand why you want to take them, I really do. I took them for the same reason, to keep him safe. Jungkook, just be careful." The young Alpha looks up, tears welling up in his eyes just a bit. "I'm terrified that I won't be able to keep him safe. I promised you, him, and everyone else that I would keep him safe."
"Jungkook, listen to me. Whatever happens, happens okay. As long as you try your hardest in keeping him safe, I will not ever be angry with you. Nor will Taehyung. He understands what's going on, he knows that there is a chance none of this will go according to plan because it never does. Trust in each other okay." Jimin states, gaining a nod from the other. The elder Alpha smiles before ruffling Jungkook's hair.
A soft knock on the door draws them away from the conversation as Taehyung enters. "The guest bedroom is ready. Sorry that it took so long I had to wash the bedding due to some dust." The young Omega says. "It's okay, Tae." Jimin replies. The two get up from their chairs and make their way to the younger. Jungkook placed his hand on the small of mates back to guide him back out of the office as he turned off the lights and shut the door.
"Oh um Jimin, we don't have any condoms in this house just saying." Jungkook states, causing Jimin to chuckle and Taehyung to look at him with a shocked face. "Jungkook." The younger chastises. "What? I'm just saying I know how it is to find your soulmate. Also the walls are paper thin." He continues. "I'll keep that in mind, thanks for the information."
"Oh my God." Taehyung grumbles as he watches the two Alpha laugh. "My mate and best friend are idiots." He continues as he walks off from the two giggle boxes that stood next to him. "Yoongi you can sleep with me, Jungkook can bunk with Jimin."
"Whoa whoa whoa." Jungkook protests as he quickly stops laughing. "Tae baby, let's talk about this." Causing the younger to chuckle at his mate. "Talk about what?" He questions feigning innocence. "Pup come on." The Purebred whines pulling a pitiful pout on his face. "Okay okay, I guess you can sleep with me in our bed."
"Ass kisser." Jimin states from behind the two. Jungkook is quick to whip his head around. "Very much so. Happy mate, happy life. You'll learn." The younger Alpha retorts. "And on that note, bedtime everyone." Taehyung says, his voice way too motherly for all. ____________________________ (Unedited)
