Taehyung sighs as he looks around the exam room. Today is exactly one week since he lost the pup. He thought he would be healing now, but he is not. He thought the emptiness he felt would leave but it is only getting worse. He winces slightly as he feels the needle enter his arm, Jin wants to do blood panels to make sure everything is going alright with his hormones. The young Omega wishes his mate was here, though he knows the elder is having a meeting with some of the other Alphas from surrounding packs.
"All done." Jin says as he removes the needle and places a gauze on the younger's arm. "I need these tests run ASAP." He continues, talking to a nurse. She nods her head taking the vials of blood and placing them into a container to be transported down to the lab. "How are you feeling Taehyung?" He asks as he wraps an adhesive bandage on his arm, the younger just looks up at him. Having no energy to respond, his nights are restless, his days seem to drag on longer. He barely eats, he feels like a shell of a person. "I'm feeling okay." He replies, he doesn't know if the elder bought it completely but he nods his head like he does. "How long until the labs are finished?" He asks.
"They have a first priority label on them. So hopefully soon. Why?" Jin asks. "I want to make lunch for Jungkook. He's been burying himself in work trying to find hard evidence of Shein's wrongdoings. He forgets to eat sometimes." Taehyung replies, he also hopes that getting back into his old routine will help him and Moon heal. "I see. Well you are free to leave and I'll call you when the labs come back. Sounds good?" The elder asks. "Sounds perfect thank you." He replies. He stands up and gives the Alpha a hug before exiting.
He looks at the clock on the wall seeing that it is 11:15 in the morning, he has no clue what he'll feed his Alpha. He bids his goodbyes to the nurses and the receptionist before exiting out of the clinic. He shivers as the warm autumn air gives way to the cold bitter winter air. In just a few weeks the start of winter will be arriving in full force, meaning that in just a few weeks winter mating season will begin. The younger sighs at the thought, he can't help but feel like his mate didn't take his warning and caution to heart. He knows the Alpha will do anything to avoid hurting him.
He makes his way to the Manor house, smiling at a few families he crosses paths with. It's a bittersweet feeling for him, a loving mate and children is what he has always wanted in life. He was so close to that dream, yet it slipped through his fingers like sand. He has the loving mate part, but not the children. He is worried that this was the one and only chance at it. That he only got one shot and now it's gone for good. He hopes that is not the case yet he doesn't know.
He walks into the house, taking off his jacket and hanging it on the hook near the front door. He makes his way to the kitchen, opening up cupboards, and the fridge to see what he can make. Something that is fast and light. He sighs as he takes out some bread and lunch meat, along with some cheese. He decided to make some mini club sandwiches. He hopes the Alpha is hungry, yet he gets it. If it wasn't for the fact that the elder will practically forced food down his throat he wouldn't eat either.
